Nice looking place. I like the fact that they were open late. I think we went between 10-11pm. I got fried fish, Mac n cheese and corn. Only the fish was somewhat tasty. Seems like the oil was a lil old. The Mac n cheese was a 2 maybe and the corn was trash lol.

I went here today to get lunch after 11:00. I had been here before and had a funnel cake dish I liked.
Today it was bad. The floor was sticky, and you could see foot prints in the stickyness. The sanitation grade is only a 93.5. I ordered a bowl of chicken and sausage gumbo.
The gumbo was on the cold side and I noticed that there was what looked like specks congealed grease in the bottom of the bowl.
I threw the item away after halfway finishing it and left.

I’ve been here 3 times. I wanted to give the place a fair chance before writing a review. But let me start by saying that each of these three times I have gone, this place has been severely understaffed. The three times I went, there was only one person taking orders, answering the phone, cooking, at the front, and cleaning. One single person. The food was never cooked properly. And there was always some kind of overcharge on an item as well as something being incorrect. The poor person doing everything is always sweating profusely because they’re doing 17 jobs. And it’s never the same person.I wanted to love this place. And I gave it three separate chances. Not only did I try three separate times, but I also went on different days of the week to see if maybe it was the day of the week that I went. But even on a Saturday at peak times, it was ran by one person and one person only. And we were still met with the same issues, if not worse. Also, one of the days I went, I arrived at 9:15pm and they were closing their doors saying that it’s closing time. Their hours online say that they close at 10pm. However, after speaking with someone, I was basically told that they close whenever they feel like. I truly would never recommend this place to anyone.

This place has potential to be great. We need a good southern faster food place in town. The floor though is always sticky, the service is good but the food decent. The cleanliness is a real issue.

The food was absolutely horrendous. I ordered the peach cobbler funnel cake. However, I didn’t receive the peaches, ice cream, or caramel. Additionally, the funnel cake was over fried, hard and chewy, and flavorless. I ordered two chicken fingers with the hot lemon pepper seasoning, which I was up charged for and did not receive. The chicken tenders served as dry rubbed lemon pepper and cooked to the point that they were so dry and chewy – they were inedible. The chicken fingers reminded me of the frozen brand from the grocery store, definitely not made in house. The mashed potatoes and gravy taste like KFC, the dirty rice was unflavored and crunchy. The ranch dressing was extremely thick with the consistency of yogurt/mayonnaise and no flavor. I spent over $40 and had to toss the entire order. I have not been this disappointed in a restaurant in a very long time.

With a sanitation rating this low there’s no excuse. Even the local McDonalds manages to keep 100 or 99. How do you overfry chicken??? And when is the last time the oil was changed because it tastes rancid. We don’t need garbage food like this -it’s all unhealthy probably fried in soybean oil. Yuck.

The shrimp appetizer was decent the Seafood Gumbo was HORRIBLE iit tasted old the roux was not good at all the shrimps were so small I didn’t notice them it was basically sausage gumbo the crawfish tails tasted dirty like they came straight out of a bag I’ve tried the food here 3 times I won’t be going back
