I have to shout out Adan and Shaye at Blake’s Bistro/Starbucks in the San Luis! Adan made my stay at the hotel wonderful because he went above and beyond to be kind and make sure my food was delivered quickly! All week during my conference, Shaye was working hard at the Starbucks, delivering great service, tasty coffees and navigating a broken expression machine … and all with a smile! On my last day I got to chat with her more since things calmed down and despite (what looked like), a crazy week, she still had a smile on and was so nice. The whole staff was honestly amazing, Jennifer served my team and I during a VERY busy lunch rush and she navigated a 150+ crowd with ease. Abigail was running food out and had a bubbly personality and Rachel was also hustling hard during the height of a busy crowd! I really appreciated the whole staff here.

As far as the food, I got a bagel with cream cheese everyday and it was perfect for a quick bite. My last day I treated myself to an omelette and it was a great finish. For lunch at Blake’s I tried the chicken nachos and they were good as well. This place was always packed and the staff was consistently friendly and efficient while I stayed here!

The overall vibe was chic and clean. I didn’t get to try the buffet while I was here, but I did see several people enjoying it!

Thank you!

Breakfast buffet did not disappoint! Eggs were cheesy, bacon was crispy, sausages were juicy with the perfect snap! Grabbed some dessert from the coffee bar and oh my they were delightful as well, macaroons so soft and sweet, the fudge so decadent!

Nice, relaxing atmosphere, food was really good. I, loved the Shrimp Kisses. Service a little bit slow I believe only a handful of waiters/ waitresses were working. The atmosphere was great and it’s in the Lobby of the San Luis resort. Overall great value for a relaxing evening meal with the family

We dined at Blake’s Bistro several times during our stay at the San Luis Resort and Spa, enjoying lunch twice and dinner once. The food, every single time, was outstanding. The flavors were consistently fresh and vibrant, and the kitchen is clearly capable of delivering memorable dishes.

That said, the dining experience itself was a bit more complex. On our first lunch visit, the wait for food stretched to nearly an hour, which felt unusual given that the restaurant was not particularly busy. I voiced this concern with the hotel, and to their credit, the food and beverage manager Tiffany reached out to me directly. She was warm, apologetic, and proactive. She even personally facilitated our next lunch, ensuring we were better taken care of. While the wait was still around 45 minutes even with her assistance, I appreciated the effort and sincerity of the follow-up. It showed that management genuinely cared about our experience.

In terms of food, it was well worth the patience. My children absolutely loved the ribs—though it’s important to note they take extra time to prepare, so plan accordingly if you order them. The kitchen also deserves credit for its ability to accommodate gluten sensitivities without compromising flavor. My two personal favorites were the Baja fish tacos and the grilled tofu, both of which can be prepared gluten-free. These dishes were flavorful, fresh, and versatile enough to enjoy at either lunch or dinner.

Overall, Blake’s Bistro offers an excellent menu with delicious, thoughtful food. Just be prepared to linger a bit longer than you might expect, especially at lunchtime. The service recovery efforts by management were genuine and commendable, and the kitchen shines when it comes to taste. If you have the time, it’s a dining experience worth savoring.

Ordered the Eggs benedict but called before hand to make sure of sides/dietary information. JOWELL Is the kindest and most helpful soul I’ve spoken with in customer service for a while. She was a real gem and it encouraged me to place my order since they now offer doordash. Great service and usually the food is amazing as well. 🙂

We have a wonderful experience this morning a Blake Bistro at The San Luis Resort. It was Breakfast with Santa! The hotel is decorated beautifully. The staff was super friendly. The manager at the restaurant Tiffany is great and very attentive to every detail. Jennifer our server was super nice and helpful. I recommended 110%. See you soon.

Super yummy food and kind staff. A little difficult to find something with an egg allergy, but I also didn’t make a big deal of it- so they will almost certainly be helpful if food allergies are a concern. This was a great little spot for a good breakfast/brunch!

We ate here TWICE in the same day. We visited for breakfast and lunch.

For breakfast there was a buffet that was pack with delicious food. There was also an omelet station and a carving station. The price was so reasonable I had to look twice at the receipt. $18 per person for all you can eat buffet that wasn’t just a couple pastries but rather all kinds of delicious, hot, fresh food.

For lunch it was no less impressive. The menu had plenty of great choices and the portions were HUGE. I ordered the Nashville hot chicken sliders and a salad. I could have just ordered one of those and would have been full.

The service was top notch for breakfast and lunch. I am glad I don’t live closer because I would be there all the time.

We’ve been many times for lunch but this was the first time we tried the breakfast buffet on Saturdays & Sundays from 7 AM to 12 PM. Absolutely fabulous with so many options. Omelette station, eggs a couple of different ways, cereals, oatmeal, salmon, fresh fruits & delicious pastries. Black bean soup was incredible, bacon & sausages 2 ways. Cheese blintzes are off the chain!

During peak season the breakfast buffet is available all week long. $25 per person/drinks extra & WELL WORTH IT!

I had a reservation and was seated right away with my family. Then the wait began. 20 mins before I called out a manager who was bussing the table next to us about no one bothering to even get our drink order. It would not have been so bad if I had not been watching others get seated after us and getting waited upon. Then the food came – I guess it’s possible to mess up quesadillas.. needless to say we will not be back.
