Don’t sleep on the Whitetail Inn!! We almost didn’t go because of some of the bad reviews here, but I’m sure thankful we didn’t let those stop us. We had the most amazing dinner! Pre-dinner cocktails and then started with the bacon wrapped chestnuts with a cherry sauce…killer appetizer!! I had the King prime rib, which was supposed to be 16 oz, but I swear it was easily 24 to 28 ounces. It was cooked to perfection and the au jus was seasoned very well. I brought more home than I could possibly eat there. My wife had the Mediterranean Haddock and she still cannot express how yummy it was. We finished with a couple of after dinner cocktails at the bar. Overall a FABULOUS evening!!

Appetizers were great. I got the filet and it was overcooked but the staff was very accommodating and rectified the situation. Loved the fireplace and the atmosphere. Our server was very friendly and a great personality. Would definitely go back.

Initially had a cocktail at the bar. Don is such a personable bartender! Live music during dinner that was really a nice touch. The service was good. The food was absolutely amazing, not to mention the beautiful view of the golf course and the interior atmosphere. The inn is a magnificent structure. We can’t wait to visit again.

I really try to like this place, but only go there every five years or so because they always disappoint. I love the building, and appreciate the wood structure and fireplace.
Went tonight as a table of three. We are sat down and waited five minutes and the table next to us gets seated. Instantly that table receives service, but we wait another handful of minutes before a server finally comes to us. Right away I could tell she was distracted and they had no sections as the waiters/waitresses were jumping all over the place, which didn’t help.
We debated between cheese curds and a stuffed mushroom appetizer. We ordered the mushrooms which came with little to no mushroom in it. Also, we only received two plates for three people. They were basically cheese stuffed curds with little mushroom pieces and no mushroom taste, so we should’ve just got the cheaper curds. We order (2) old fashions and an iced tea. The old fashions never got asked to be refilled until the meal was nearly complete, though one was empty before the meal even came. They missed out on more drink money being added to the bill….
We got a fish fry and 2 chicken Marsala’s and I upgraded my soup to a French onion(paid an upcharge), while the others got the salad bar. I didn’t realize the soup never came until I was asked how it was on the way home. The chicken Marsala was good, but only half covered with sauce and again, little to no mushrooms.
Food tasted good, but was skimpy and they forgot some of the meal. The service was horrible and they were not that busy yet.

A perfect experience!! When me and a friend went, the Filet was perfect, the broccolini was tasty, and the baked potato was exactly to my satisfaction! It was my birthday week, and the server gave me a free slice of Lemon Berry Mascarpone with a candle!! The piano man (Dale?? I dont remember his name) was a great pianist! Everything was perfect and would 100% go back!

Whitetail Inn is quite the facility. The log building is incredibly beautiful inside. Great bar and fireplace. We had drinks and hung out to see if dinner seating opened up. Our hostess, Joy, was wonderful. With all the issues these establishments have staffing, everyone needs to have a little patience.
Our prime rib dinner was excellent! The jambalaya not so much. Our service was excellent. Thanks Cinnamon!

Overall a disappointment. Food pretty unappealing and overpriced for the quality. I got the whisky shrimp, $32, supposedly served on a bed of risotto. It had about a cup of cream poured on top and was basically a risotto soup, with four shrimp lost within. It tasted ok but the presentation was awful. Service was mediocre; we sat at our table for a solid 10 minutes before being approached or even acknowledged by a server. Drinks were great though, and generous. The 3% “restaurant fee” added to our bill was a final insult. I’ll never return.

My parents who live in the area always love to bring me to the local restaurants and Whitetail Inn is one of my favorites. We went during the Christmas season and the pictures below only tell half the story. This place is incredible. The servers are nice, the overall environment is warm and welcoming from the fireplace to the cathedral ceilings made out of log home styles. The food was wonderful not too overwhelming just enough to make you want to come back for more. So if you are in the area make sure you drop in!

Everything about this place is amazing. You’re first greated by a beautiful log lodge, wonderfully decorated. Then you’ll be served by the outstanding staff. They treat you promptly and quickly. Finally, the food is over the top. We reserved the venue for a travel show. They catered the event, and it was spot on. The food was presented very well, and it tasted delicious. We will be back!
