I have been eating here for years but something has happened to quality of the food now! The biscuits are never cooked completely and the last couple of weeks the country ham isn’t done-the fat is still raw! They need to step up their game because they won’t stay in business at this rate.

Forget flimsy, pre-made breakfast sandwiches—Biscuit Express is a destination for anyone who understands the foundational power of a truly great biscuit. The base of every meal here is a giant, fluffy, and absolutely delicious biscuit that genuinely earns its name, serving as the sturdy, satisfying canvas for a sizable amount of meat and protein.
My personal go-to is the Hot Sausage, Scrambled Egg, and Pepper Jack Cheese biscuit. This sandwich is a perfect storm of breakfast satisfaction. The hot sausage delivers a genuinely enjoyable kick, waking up the palate without being overpowering. The scrambled egg provides a soft, comforting richness, and the melted Pepper Jack is the genius touch, adding a creamy texture and just the right amount of spicy tang to balance the savory heat of the sausage. It is consistently massive and built to sustain you through the entire morning.
My wife, meanwhile, swears by the Fried Chicken and Scrambled Egg creation. This is a formidable sandwich built for serious appetites. The fried chicken portion is generous—no small fillet here—and it’s perfectly seasoned, providing that satisfying, classic crunch against the softness of the biscuit and the fluffiness of the egg.
If you’re looking for a breakfast that is satisfying, high-quality, and delivers exceptional value on both flavor and size, Biscuit Express is the place to be. It’s comforting, classic, and always worth the stop.

My husband and I lived there years ago and during duck hunting season we’d stop there to get breakfast biscuits because it was the way; open at 5am; and the best biscuits hands down. I could only eat half of mine so I’d have the rest hours later, during or after our hunt! Lol
OMG to this day I think of that place when I think about biscuits!! It was the first time I had ever heard of a cat-head biscuit. My husband explained that it’s because of their size…as big as a cat’s head!

YUM! It’s rare that I say a biscuit compares to mine, but these do. These are melt in your mouth and incredibly large. You get your money’s worth with every bite.
This was my first visit, but it won’t be my last.

The BEST BREAKFAST you can get from a restaurant. Important to know that they only take cash or check, so make sure you are prepared for that. It’s homemade and so good. The service is always great, too. Very small town atmosphere where they recognize you and always speak to you. When you come in, no matter how busy it is. At certain times of the morning, it does get rather busy, but they move quickly to get everyone taken care of in a timely manner.

I ordered the biscuit express which was grits, a big sausage patty, scrambled eggs, and a big flat biscuit. Also got a cup of coffee, all for $10.02. Counter window for orders. Cashier window to pay. Friendly staff. Very open dining area with about 8 booths and a table up front by the TV. Clean. Fast paced, as people poured in and out very fast – mostly take out orders. I don’t remember the menu, but there were lots of options for biscuits and burritos.
