Thank you
Let’s take a moment to celebrate Vail’s growth — and this fun new addition to the lineup! A sushi and ramen spot with a full bar (and mocktails!) is exactly the kind of fresh energy this area needed.
Service was awesome — friendly, fast, and upbeat. Loved the playlist overhead with classics like Jimi Hendrix and other greats, plus music videos rolling on multiple screens that really set a fun, casual tone.
To be clear, this is a franchise aiming for good vibes and quick bites, not a fine-dining Japanese experience — and it nails that purpose. The menu covers sushi, ramen, and dessert bites, all designed for an easy, flavorful meal with a side of fun.
Not the most vegetarian/vegan-forward menu, but major kudos to our server and the kitchen for being so accommodating with modifications. I like my food fiery, and while the spice level didn’t quite hit my usual heat zone, it was still delicious and satisfying.
Overall, it’s a great stop for a chill meal, friendly service, and a cool atmosphere before hitting the road. Yes, I’d come back!
To start off, i got their jalapeno poppers for apps and my husband we thought it was pretty good. It does have a hint of spicy to it and I can handle my spice so to say that, it means it was good. I got 1 roll and my husband got 2. I got their VIP roll, my husband got one of their lobster and another one I forgot. It was a bit disappointing cause the rice used was either not cooked fully or old cause it was still kinda hard. Not sure what oil they used for deep frying but after i ate 3 poppers n 1 of my sushi, i felt sick to my stomach. not because the food was bad or the seafood was bad, it was more like because of the “deep fried” of it. Not sure how to explain that but like if you have too much fried food you get a sick feeling. Sometimes it could be cause of the oil not being filter frequently or i dont know maybe cause it was lunch time and i have not ate anything all morning. But we ended up just packing it up to go.
The service was good. Friendly staff. The atmosphere was casual with old rock musics, which is my husband’s kind of vibe and they have outdoor seating as well which would be nice when the weather is a lot cooler. Oh and their cups, you get to take home. It’s a little souvenir from them. I think thats a great way to advertise their business, i guess. I do want to go back with my coworkers and maybe when my sister comes visit too. Will try it out again so i can try the other rolls they have and the other entrees they have. They dont only h ave sushi. they serce hibachi grill entrees and ramens. I want to get their guitar party tray so i think that’d be cool. lolz oh and one of my husband rolls has strawberry on top. from the pictures its the 2nd one with the red stuff on top. I thought from photos, it was red bell pepper or something but it wasnt. Now we have tried mangos, bananas and strawberry top sushis so far and though it sounds weird, it’s actually good and it somehow works.
The downfall?
Pricing a bit steep in comparison. Nigiri about $8 for 2 pieces is a little higher than other places, rolls can get up there as well as other food items on menu and sizing was a little smaller than other spots I’ve reviewed. Not terrible, but a bit higher than other places.
Sushi selection. Was only about 7ish seafood items to choose from. E.g. Tuna, salmon, shrimp, etc. If you want a wider selection go to a different sushi spot.
Flavor was OK. Appetizer sampler was kinda bland. Sushi roll was doused in sauce so you didn’t get fish flavor at all.
The steak lunch bowl decent for pricing, a lot of rice, flavor was OK. Would not order again.
If you want something close to Rita this is your only option, except Frys sushi (Snowfox). And it’s OK, but not 5 star worthy.
I ordered through DoorDash just two shrimp tempura rolls and some steamed edamame. I did get there about 5 minutes earlier than the expected wait time so I was expecting to wait a little and that was okay with me. Then when 15 minutes had gone by and I hadn’t had an update on my food I was getting a little annoyed but still that’s only 10 minutes lasted the expected time.
Other people kept coming in and picking up orders despite getting there well after my expected pick up time, and in total there were four orders completed before mine, some of them being quite larger.
Now, if they were busy I would be far more understanding of the time it took to complete likely one of their easier DoorDash orders of the evening, however it must not have been all that busy because several members of the staff standing around the server station chatting. None of us got any kind of updates on our food until it was completed and from my observations, those sitting at the tables weren’t being checked on either.
To top all of this off my order was wrong. I ordered two shrimp tempura rolls and neither had tempura shrimp, just normal non-tempura shrimp. That is not what I ordered. In addition to that there’s clearly a size difference between the two rolls and they just look so sloppy.
I wanted to love this place and tried to be understanding, unfortunately this experience was horrible and I hope I don’t get desperate enough to return.
Now, let’s talk about the food and value. I went with the BOWL AND ROLL DEAL for $20, and it was incredibly worth it. The portions were generous, the flavors were spot on, and for that price point, it’s easily one of the best deals in town. To top it all off, the service was great, and they even let you take your cups home as a souvenir! It’s those small, thoughtful details that really set a place apart. If you’re a fan of great rock music, a cool aesthetic, and delicious food that doesn’t break the bank, you have to check this place out. Check out my video to see the decor for yourself—this place is officially rocking!
GET IT !!! GOT IT !!! GOOD!
We just came by here again for my daughters birthday and the workers here made this visit very special. They gave additional attention to her and made a kid friendly drink and desert out of the kindness of their hearts. We ordered a ramen (not Kids ramen), trio bowel, and two sushi rolls. Everything was very good. Also, the owner listened to the reviews and added the sun shades. I am happy with the adaptability to create a great experience. This is now a 5 star location in my opinion. Thank you.

My family and I went to this location to celebrate my wife’s and my anniversary, so we ordered a good amount of food. We had a pretty good experience, and I would love to give this place five stars, but it isn’t quite there yet, and I will get to that shortly.
Our server was Cassidy, and she was spot on with making sure drinks were maintained, the table was cleared, and we were comfortable. She gave food suggestions to help us navigate the menu.
We ordered the appetizer sampler, kids’ ramen, the experience roll, groupie roll, and thriller roll. The appetizer sampler had crab rangoon, pot stickers, egg rolls, and fried crab jalapeno poppers. The kids’ ramen was a standard store-bought ramen. The experience roll has a mango on top, rice, fried shrimp, cucumber, and a tiny portion of cream cheese (I think). The groupie roll has crab on top, rice, fried shrimp, and cream cheese. The thriller was a fried roll of stuff I can’t remember lol.
Now, going over the flavor of the food. This is all off my personal preference, and by no means was any of the food bad. So, on the sampler, I liked the crab rangoon and the pot sticker, but the other two items were not flavorful. The crab rangoon was like a flaky triangle filled with cream cheese and crab flavors, and it was pretty balanced. The pot sticker was meaty and easy to eat. The popper had no heat or pepper taste, and the crab didn’t have flavor. I don’t know why this was the case. The egg roll was ok with cabbage and meat, but the crab rangoon and pot sticker overshadowed it. So I will personally get the rangoon in the future, instead of the sampler.
For the rolls, the thriller and groupie stole the show, and the experience roll was not an experience for me. The experience is a flat note. So the mango adds a touch of sweetness, but the rest of the roll was bland, and I cannot figure out why. The groupie had a savory taste that I enjoyed, and I can see myself eating this again. I am not much of a fried sushi eater, but the thriller was the best of the three, and even though I don’t remember what’s in it, I wanted more. I am sure I could have over-stuffed myself on the thriller.
The atmosphere of the place was groovy, with neon lights and excellent rock music videos on the screens. The vibe there was fun, a little tight on seating, but fun. Here is what takes the star away, which can easily be obtained. We were there between 5:30pm to 6:40pm and the sun beams right in like we are in a fish bowl. With the sun constantly attacking, it is hard to have a conversation, relax, and not get a headache. This place desperately needs sunshades, and hopefully, they will get them because that was a little rough.
The kids’ ramen was basic. Our 2-year-old loves regular katsu ramen, and we hoped that’s what this was, but it was just your regular store-purchased ramen. Good news, though: Our daughter was eating the heck out of it, so there was no loss there. Yay!
The overall bill is $65, and they are military-friendly. This place is worth a try, and Cassidy is a good server. It was a good anniversary.
