We had a great time last night when on the spur of the moment we went to Clasens for dinner. I havent been there in about 20 yrs, it was before the remodel so whatever year that was. The meal was great – my husband had the traditional cheeseburger and fries , I had the Cesar salad with the mahi mahi tuna steak. We started with delicious fried calamari. Great job. Friday night they have acoustic guitar player. He was very good. The atmosphere was upbeat and fun. I even saw people from years ago, so a close knit friendly crowd. Our waitress was also the bartender- Janice. She was friendly, smiling and patient with my questions. We were greeted nicely upon arriving. Really a great place.

we went here because of the interesting history. The menu was pretty much bar food. my boyfriend really enjoyed the beef sandwich and everything was good overall
inside bartender was super nice. very welcoming. We did want to sit outside because the weather was nice. however, we sat there for a good 15 to 20 minutes and the outside bartender/server literally ignored us. she looked our way and went to talk to other customers that were out there so it was pretty evident she was not going to give us the time of day. that is really disappointing. I understand that this is another one of Niko’s restaurants. We are regular customers at his Woodstock location and never had a problem with service. we will go try it again and I will speak up because that is unacceptable to be blatantly ignored like that.

Delicious burgers! Worth the drive! Will definitely come again. Very close to Illinois Train Museum, Union, Illinois.

I was a regular lunch customer for a few years until I noticed that I was charged for more beverages than I actually ordered on more than one occasion. I gave it a pass the first couple times. The last straw for me was getting charged 3.50 for my daughter to have tap water. I won’t spend a penny there again. Thank Tammy for all of that.

We were at the Illinois Railroad Museum in Union, IL. Looked for a place to eat on Maps. Clasen’s popped up. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Atmosphere was friendly and service was great! Too bad it’s 100 miles from home or we would return! Would recommend the Caesar salad with Ahi Tuna!! And the Italian beef! (Saturday’s special)

Jennifer our server was exceptional! We were coming from out of town and she was quick to HAPPILY accommodate our group of 11. Very friendly with a super sweet smile and was delightfully calm even when the bar became full. She ran the full house that she had by herself and we never felt like we had to wait. The food was also outstanding and came out in a timely manor. We will definitely be back if we’re ever in that area and highly recommend!

Our server was very attentive and friendly. The wings were very tasty. My daughter ordered the Asian salad with Ahi tuna. She claims it was very good and the Ahi tuna was cooked to perfection.
