A Mixed Bag at Bambu Thai Cuisine
I recently had the opportunity to dine at Bambu Thai Cuisine, and while the atmosphere was quaint, it was dated. The main dishes impressed me, however, I was thoroughly disappointed with the rice dishes. Unfortunately, it was undercooked and, quite frankly, inedible! I could not believe they would serve such a subpar staple dish, and we ended up having to discard it.
The ambiance was quaint, and our server was attentive. The main dishes were flavorful. If they can address the rice issue that may make a difference.

We recently dined at Bambu, a cozy family-owned Thai spot, and had a wonderful experience. We started with the vegetable spring rolls, which were crispy and packed with fresh veggies, served with a tasty dipping sauce. For the main course, we enjoyed the pineapple curry with chicken, a delicious balance of sweet and savory flavors with tender chicken and juicy pineapple. The Tom Yum soup was equally delicious, with a fragrant, tangy broth and perfectly cooked shrimp. The food was flavorful and satisfying, making it a great spot for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine.

Decent Thai restaurant in Elmhurst. Food is good. But they don’t like to take care citing high service charges which I don’t understand why it is higher for them compared to all other businesses which never have a problem with cards.
The atmosphere was ok, it got too loud with many people in the restaurant.
The entrance is a little weird too but has a decent amount of parking.

Good food and fair prices with large portions. I am rating it a 2 because they charge a fee to use credit cards and that is very anti consumer behavior. Also, the mango sticky rice was below average.

I tried Bambu for the first time. I was pleased with egg rolls. I typically only like them with some protein, but these were accurately described in the menu and good for vegetarian. The Thai dish with chicken and eggplant was really good!

This is our 2nd time at this restaurant during the past year. They maintained the same high quality of their food. We tried Basil Fried rice, Penang curry and Pad Thai this time. All the dishes are quite flavorful along with a nice atmosphere and prompt service. We will continue to come and recommend my friends and others to swing by for good quality Thai food. You won’t be disappointed.

The Pad Thai and the Drunken Noodle were both delicious! I’d recommend the drunken noodle, it was more saucy and flavorful. We tried some of the appetizers and they were standard fried samplers.
The atmosphere does feel a little dated, but everything was clean and the food was great. Staff was very friendly too. Would definitely go back.

Nothing but good! I ordered the Spicy Bambu Chicken lunch special. I asked for medium spicy and it tasted as I would’ve expected heat-wise – Great flavors! Ingredients were fresh, it was more than enough for one meal, and the little egg roll was good. All for less than $10 including tax. My first time here, but I’d definitely return.
