Love this place! The falafel is incredibly fresh, and the portions are huge. On this visit, we enjoyed the Nura Falafel Pocket with falafel, hummus, pickled beet relish, cucumber dill salad, tahini sauce, all tucked into a pita, plus a side of shawarma-dusted fries. We also ordered the falafel salad with hummus, falafel, local greens, shaved radish, cucumber, tahini sauces, and fresh pomegranate seeds that added a perfect pop of freshness.
Order at the counter, grab a seat, and enjoy. You won’t regret it, and you’ll likely want to make this a regular lunch spot just like us!

Had a wonderful lunch here. The pita was fresh, soft and packed full. It held together perfectly and didn’t fall apart prematurely. The falafel in my wife’s salad was amazing also!
The people who worked there were friendly and helpful and even brought our food directly to our table with a smile.
I’ll definitely be stopping in again.

I wish we had a place like this in Chicago! The food was absolutely fantastic — every bite was bursting with incredible flavor. I was genuinely impressed that our sandwiches (falafel & chicken shawerma) held together perfectly despite being packed full. Everything tasted so fresh and clean, I didn’t even feel guilty rolling out the door afterward, lol. Hats off to the chef — definitely a must-try spot in Portland, ME!

The shawarma and falafel were delightful, offering authentic Mediterranean flavors. While the prices are slightly elevated, the quality of the food justifies the cost. Considering it’s the sole Mediterranean restaurant in the area, it stands out as a worthwhile dining option.

My first time at Nura, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The food was fresh and flavorful, and the service was warm and welcoming. The standout was the salad, bright, balanced, and the pomegranate was the perfect finishing touch. A fantastic first visit, and definitely not my last.

The falafel was so so good — definitely the thing to order here! It was fried to perfection, with a crispy exterior and a soft, fluffy interior. And that vibrant green color!! The shawarma fries were good, and the hummus was super smooth and luscious. The hummus bowl was a reallllyyyy underwhelming, though. I’m glad I got an extra side of the beet salad because it really needed some brightness. The side portion was incredibly scant, too, for the cost. The mint lemonade also tasted just like regular lemonade. Overall, I’d get the falafel again, but I felt the meal I ordered was super overpriced for the lack of flavor (especially the mushroom shawarma).

We stayed in Portland for two nights, three days and this was the best food we had there, hands down. SO fresh, tasty, and great staff. We’ll be back!

I never visited their food truck, but Nura’s location at monument square is fantastic. All their offerings are vegan and extremely satisfying. The dish pictured in my review in the cauliflower shawarma hummus bowl (which I highly recommend!) When I visited it was a weekday at around lunch and we were barely able to find seating which is usually a good sign. I was not disappointed and loved my dish and the uniquely refreshing mint lemonade. Also as an added convenience, all their prices include tax and are to the even dollar. Can’t wait to go back to try their other flavor combinations.

Tried the falafel pita, the zatar pita and thr chicken shawarma pita. Portion size is extremely filling. The falafel pita has the perfect blend of sauce and salad. Highly recommended. Great for grab and go or dine in as well. Staff are friendly and happy to explain the menu in detail. I will definitely be visiting again
