Fabulous place! Great to see a modern take on the “Fischbrötchen”. Even better when it works out. And it surely does at Underdocks! Their puffy fries are a very clever idea as well.
The tacos might be to best option for a higher protein to carb ratio but the the Backfisch roll was the highlight for me.

Get ready to try seafood in a way that you never had before. I went there twice quality is consistent. The soft-shell crab is a must try. Their nachos are also so good but I didn’t like the mussels one.

Great atmosphere with moody lighting that suits the style perfectly. The food is flawless, the bread, sauces, and quality of ingredients are top-notch. I highly recommend choosing the shrimp over the fish options, especially the Black Tiger. It was delicious!

Awesome place! The bread for the rolls was spectacular in our opinion. We tried the lobster roll, the veggie taco as well as chips with dirty upgrades, which was satisfying to say the least. Lobster roll was amazing, veggie taco was not the best veggie taco but we didn’t expect much of it. Will definitely visit this place again next time I’m in Hamburg.

We chose this place for dinner on a Sunday. The place wasn’t too crowded; it was quiet. It has an industrial, slightly dim atmosphere.
We tried the black tiger roll and fish and chips. Both were delicious. The fish and chips portion, in particular, was quite large. My only criticism is that the fries were a bit too salty. The roll, while delicious, was extremely difficult to eat. Everything inside starts to fall out the moment you bite into it.
The service was friendly and quick enough. The portions were filling, and the prices were reasonable. I don’t know if there was a special issue that day, but they didn’t accept card payments. This is a bit confusing in our day and can be a significant drawback. Other than that, it’s a positive place and worth trying.

The fish & chips were amazing! The fish was fresh, and the fries were perfectly crispy. The atmosphere is a bit casual, but enjoyable. The staff are warm and friendly. Prices are reasonable. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy fresh seafood. Although it’s a bit far from the city center, it’s definitely worth the trip. They also have other branches in Hamburg that are worth trying as well.

Hamburg’s famous fish place. Their dirty upgrade on chips is pretty delicious. The waiting time was 10-15 min.
