The food was delicious! Its been at least 10 years since I have dined here and it still did not disappoint. Actually, I first dined in in the 1980s with after church dinner and an occasional brunch. I was pleasantly surprised and glad that the deliciousness needle was still high! And Yes, I do recommend this restaurant for brunch, dinner, lunch, solo dining, or any celebration. I attended my niece’s 60th Birthday Celebration (had no idea they had a private party room). I loved it and will be back–this time I will not wait not too long. So, I ordered the calamari for my starters and the crab cake for dinner ! Oh My God, I was pigging . I just could not stop eating. Here are pics of the menu, my appetizer, my crab cake dinner (no filler–in case youare wondering), and a bonus pic of my sister’s steak dinner (yes, I snuck a picture when she was not looking .) Enjoy! It looks delicious too, huh?

I just so happened to be in Bowie that day, when I wanted something to eat. I was open to trying a new restaurant and I saw this one! I stopped in and the wait staff was so very friendly, and patient with all of my food related questions. I had the rainbow trout, fried green tomatoes, half and half, and an apple tart-like dessert with 1 scoop of ice cream (not pictured because I devoured it as soon as it hit the table). The only thing I will say is that if you are not a fan of goat cheese, ask them to omit it from the fried green tomatoes. Other than that the food was phenomenal. The other great thing about this place is that it is connected to a liquor store. It is one of the biggest liquor stores I have seen. The prices are pretty reasonable in my opinion. Go see for yourself!

Haven’t been here in over 20 years. The fried chicken and green beans were pretty tasty. The top of the macaroni and cheese was good but the bottom not the same. Cozy atmosphere, horse racing theme and good service, friendly and attentive. Would recommend you try it out.

Some of the best real cooking around! Perfectly cooked broiled salmon filet w fresh herbal seasoned cooked spinach over rice. Several rooms. Highly recommend the private booth room if you wish to hear each other, lest your lunch ends up in open seating room where conversation was squashed by a gruff man giving a loud sales pitch with video playing to couple all seated next to us! Good real American fare!

Whenever in the area I recommend stopping by for a bite . The service is great , the vibe inside is clean and intimate . The blueberry pancakes had too many blueberries ( if that’s possible) , the turkey sausages were delicious ious and the omelet was amazing . The price for everything was definitely reasonable.

A great liquor store and a very tasty deli for fast takeout. I’ve used the restaurant for small meetings over the years. It’s one of my constant to go to places.

My first time at Rip’s today…Enjoyed our meal. The restaurant is nice. Super interesting decor. Staff are friendly… We were seated pretty quickly. The restaurant temperature was a bit too cold – pricing is very reasonable. Our food was good. My omelette was very tasty and tea was fantastic as well. The potatoes were very good! So tasty… bathrooms are in serious need for upgrading and could use some upcoming.

The place is decorated very nicely. The atmosphere is great! I ordered the meatloaf, which was not very good. The mash potatoes that came with it were instant, and the green beans tasted like they were from a can. We also ordered the fried pickle appetizers. The taste was good, but the portions were small. My son ordered the pork barbecue sandwich, and the meat was not very good.
