This was the longest I’ve ever waited for a meal, and I can’t say the literally 2 hours between ordering and receiving our food was worth it for this very average bagel sandwich. The staff were overworked, undertrained, and/or on their phones, could not provide any sort of estimates for when food might be ready, and for a place that microwaves their eggs there really shouldn’t be any more than 5 minutes spent per bagel. They desperately need new management and/or new staff, or to drastically cut down on the number of orders per day that they fulfill.

Decent bagels but not the best in the area. Service was terrible! Kids staff the counter and the service level is terrible. In the last three visits they couldn’t get things right on very simple orders. In one case, on an order of 3 bagels, the child made 4 errors on bagel type, salad, topping – and forgot all of the muffins I had ordered and paid for! I had to wonder whether he was on drugs because I couldn’t believe how many errors had been made. Stay away. This place was a favorite for 10+ years, but what a crappy establishment now!

I was walking around the area and needed to eat something. I wasn’t sure due to other reviews and it was about an hour before closing. I was pleasantly surprised with the service and my order. The bagel tasted fresh and the sandwich was amply filled. I decided to eat in as there were plenty of tables and it was very clean. If you go earlier in the day, there’s an excellent selection to choose from. Thank you.

Clean place. Good bagels.
Their cream cheese is super tasty and smooth.
The owner is very friendly(Robert) and everyone is cheery.
Best part is they have two indoor dining tables. And they follow Covid guidelines.
They have a pick-up zone and plastic dividers near the register which is nice to see and employees wear their masks!
Def. Would return if not for the great bagels but for the friendly staff.

The bagels are really fresh, but this is the second time I’ve come and have been grossed out by how one of the workers handles food (same worker both times). He puts the bagels up against his hoodie and touches his phone while prepping food. He also acted as if I did not pay when another worker repeatedly told him that I did. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

I expressed I had a “PEANUT AND NUT ALLERGY” and they said your good really quickly no reassurance or saying they will alert the staff or they didn’t even write it down. Then we ordered a pumpkin muffin asked if it had no nuts. They said no nuts for sure and then two bites in my mom found a walnut in it. And when we confronted them the guy said “oh well it wasn’t me “
And I was just worried abt my bagel and If they were actually gonna use a separate knife then they use on a peanut butter bagel to cut my bagel in half. If there wrong abt one thing who knows how many other things they are wrong abt and if they are actually safe as they said.

Excessive wait time. A bunch of kids that need more order or a better system. Also lacks in customer service. They huddle and talk amongst themselves before even addressing customers. I waited about 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged. I ordered ahead of time and waited for another 30 minutes for my order after I arrived. I only ordered 3 bagels. Actually terrible.

Simple, basic, and excellent! There’s a good selection of prepared or unprepared bagels. My favorite is cinnamon-raisin either plain or toasted with butter. Seating is available inside and there’s comfortable seating without tables in front for a sunny day

Finding a good bagel in Connecticut has proven to be quite a hard task…. Until I found Upper Crust
I was elated to finally find a bagel shop that does it right, full fluffy bagels, crispy crust, stuffed bacon egg and cheeses and the best part… they don’t price gouge.
My BEC was fresh and extremely tasty. The staff were nice and helpful to answer my questions and the establishment was clean and nicely decorated.

Absolutely fantastic bagels, best around. Terrible service. Order ahead and food consistently shows up well after it is promised.
Today as I stood in a group of other customers waiting for their order, I resolved never again to bother ordering ahead. Then I waited in line to ask if my order was in process (or had been mistakenly picked up in their chaotic pick up area.), and was told only that “there are a lot of tickets”.
Show up in person, but don’t expect polite.
