Hidden Gem, looks like it’s attached to a tire shop so it is a little hard to find, but the food is bangin! Not to spicy although if that’s what your into they got you! The Salsa Bar has a little bit of everything. They don’t have suger free drinks is my only suggestion to make it perfect

Hidden gem, mainly locals who are Spanish speaking only but Very authentic Mexican food with no frills, you can order in English no problem. In a mixed use building so drive way into parking lot can easily be missed. Plenty of parking and the smell of charcoal is a pleasure and welcoming sign you are in the right place. Dining room is small but has a great salsa / topping bar with many choices including roasted onions and peppers and a warm salsa, as well as cilantro, lime, pickled veggies, multiple red and green salsa choices with individual containers and bags for everything. Authentic Mexicans sodas and beer available as well. Food is always made to order and comes out hot and fresh, Tacos, burritos and quesabirria are my favorite but honestly everything here looks amazing. I’ve been on an Al Pastor Burrito kick lately. Good service and good prices have made me a regular.

Just returned from Mexico for my cataract surgery checkup, and on my way to a listing appointment recommended by my wonderful Filipino community, I stumbled upon a gem of a taco restaurant: Tacos el Yiyo! Located at 10933 W Buckeye Rd, Avondale, AZ, this place instantly brought back memories of some of the best tacos I’ve ever had.
I decided to treat myself and ordered a delightful mix: 2 steak tacos, 2 al Pastor, 1 chicken taco, and a refreshing Mexican Coke, all for just $15. Initially, the tacos tasted decent, but once I loaded them up with fresh onions, cilantro, pickled onions, carrots, grilled jalapeños, and a variety of other toppings, they transformed into something truly magical! Each bite was a burst of flavor that made my taste buds dance with joy.
I can’t wait to return, especially after my photography appointment. I plan to leave a little early so I can savor more of those incredible tacos. I have a feeling that the meats will taste even better when they come straight off the grill, and I’m looking forward to experiencing that deliciousness again.
Tacos el Yiyo is definitely a place I will be visiting frequently!

If you’re looking for a memorable taco experience, Tacos el Yiyo on W Buckeye Rd is a must-visit. The service was great and the ambiance was nice with Spanish music playing, adding to the overall atmosphere. The food was simply amazing, and I highly recommend giving it a try! I personally enjoyed three flavorful asada tacos and two juicy pollo tacos, which were mouthwatering. The taco station was the cherry on top as I could customize my tacos with all the toppings I wanted. Don’t miss out on the chance to try Tacos el Yiyo, it won’t disappoint!

First time here, and the lady taking our order was nice and courteous. I ordered 2 asada tacos, 1 cabeza,1 tripa, one quesabirria taco. The meats were all good and seasoned well not salty at all. And the salsas where good the green and the red, but also there’s a secret salsa at the front where you order the tacos. Also the Bichi which is the consomé was full of flavor. Over all me and my family were all satisfied!! We will definitely be coming back for Tacos for sure.

Hands down best tacos ive had since moving to the west valley. You can really taste the charcoal flavor and it makes all the difference. The Al Pastor was a hit and so was the Quesabirrias, both really juicy and packed with flavor. I knew we were in for something good when I took my first sip of the Horchatta, real quality and none of that watered down stuff most places give you. Staff was super friendly and helpful aswell. I will absolutely be back in this spot for taco thursdays and would highly suggest it to a friend.
