The Somtam was perfectly balanced, fresh, spicy and tangy. The Namtok was juicy, smoky, and packed with herbs. Simple dishes done so right!
Love the atmosphere too, airy and effortless chill. Definitely coming back 🙂
Ordered the tofu pad Thai and it was devoid of any flavour!! Like it’s as if the noodles were just boiled and put in the box. $23 and you can get better at Ponsonby food court up the road. Super stingy with the pieces of tofu. Only 6 pieces.
Also sucks that they charge you extra (between $4-5) for rice even when you are ordering a curry
You are immediately welcomed by the nicest host in the world and get a friendly hello from the hard working chef and kitchen team.
My go to: Chicken Pad Thai – noodles are cooked to perfection and coated in a rich, tangy tamarind sauce. The balance of sweet, salty, and sour flavors was spot on. The generous sprinkling of crushed peanuts added a satisfying crunch.
The Kra Pow Fried Rice was flavorful and aromatic. The combination of fragrant tender chicken and perfectly seasoned rice created a bold and spicy dish. The chef is very accomodating for spice levels!
The prices are very reasonable and we love to support an amazing local family business, we appreciate your high quality food and effort you put in for your customers.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant for anyone craving authentic and delicious Thai dishes. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
Panang curry was amazing! Best I’ve had in Auckland by far. So incredibly delicious.
Appetizers – satay chicken and fried tentacles – were bla. Fine. Nothing special. Tentacles were super chewy (previously frozen and over cooked?)
But the curry was so delicious it’s enough to forget about the mediocre apps.
P.S.: There are more seats upstairs
