In town visiting and was told they had the best southern breakfast in town. The service was phenomenal. Anyah was our server and made great suggestions off the menu. The food was seasoned and hot! Will def be back! 10 out of 10!

Food was good except for very salty crab cake. The service was very lacking. Our waitress took our drink order quickly and once she delivered the drinks she said she would be right back. 6 minutes later she returned and took our order. We never saw her again until she happened by and I stopped her to say my spouse couldn’t eat her crab cake. She did offer another seafood or to just remove it from the plate. She also had shrimp so just asked for it to be removed. Several minutes later she returned with a saucer and took it away. We didn’t see her again until I asked to make a to go order and asked for leftover boxes. She brought the boxes and once again she said I’ll come back for your take out order. After another lengthy stay away she took the order at which time I asked for more water since my glass had been empty for a while. I can understand some wait times between services at a peak time but this was mid afternoon. I think it will be a while if ever we return.

The place is really big and the people working there are very polite and attentive. The waitress was always bringing more drinks to the table when we needed a refill. The food came to the table very quickly and it was good and hot. The catfish was very good and came with two sides. Save room for dessert if you can, they have some very delicious cheese cake, and the chocolate lava cake was amazing.

Came here for dinner because of the amazing reviews and this place did not disappoint! When you walk in the door this place feels like home. The waitress we had was phenomenal and we never went without a drink or anything we needed/asked for. We ordered the egg rolls for an appetizer and they were super flavorful. Outside was nice and crispy! For my meal I got the country fried steak dinner, with Mac and cheese and sweet potato casserole. Everything was awesome! The steak was crispy outside and juicy inside, my only thing was the gravy on top was not all that great so I probably wouldn’t get it again. The Mac and cheese was damn good, but could have been a little cheesier IMO. All plates coke with hushpuppies and a biscuit which were both super good! That sweet potato casserole though? I’d kill for that. I got the Reese’s PB cup cheesecake which was also pretty dang tasty.
Egg rolls – 8.5/10
Hushpuppies & Biscuit – 8/10
Mac & cheese – 7.8/10
Country fried steak & gravy – 7/10
Sweet potato casserole – 9.4/10
Reese’s PB cup cheesecake – 6.8/10

I went for a pre-christmas gathering with my family from the area. The food was ok. I feel like with so many options to choose from on the menu the food wouldn’t taste “homemade” and it didn’t taste “homemade” more like quick fix items. My family ordered the beef tips and the gravy tasted like “jar” gravy. Our food came out fast. The service was nice.

My good standard for seafood is served in calabash. I ordered the crab cakes and flounder combo. My wife got the shrimp and flounder.
They exceeded my expectations it was better than calabash. Everything I’ve ever eaten there is delicious. God jobMclean’s ole Time cafe. Please don’t change.

Food was ok. A bit on the pricey side for what you get. I have been wanting to try since moving to the area but was a little disappointed. Server was good.

Delicious food, affordable, friendly, and so many food and dessert choices! I got the lemon pepper brown sugar salmon- it was amazing. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with an amazing flavor. The Mac and cheese and collards were fantastic. I loved the pecan pie as well. My partner enjoyed the chicken parm. I will definitely be coming back!!

Found this place by accident. My father in law and I were on our way back home from the VA in Durham. He said let’s get a decent meal, no hamburgers. I looked up Southern Food and this popped up. Told him about it and he said I hope they have meatloaf. Well they did have meatloaf and much more. My father in law said it was some of the best meatloaf he had ever had. The proportions were so big he had to take some home. I myself had chicken pastry, fried okra and sweet potato casserole. The food was amazing. Reminded me of my mom and grandma’s home cooking. The service and friendly atmosphere was very welcoming. True southern hospitality. We will definitely be eating here again.
