Tx roadhouse is about the last decent middle
Market restaurant left so I have pretty high expectations. First time at this location and it was pretty bad. We frequented the Grandville location before we moved, but now we will make the extra drive there it’s worth it. Service slow “i didn’t know they sat you over here” steak overcooked asked for medium got very well done. Salmon dry and overcooked. My boys are crazy about the roll no refills until we asked “oh I don’t think any are ready right now” yet another excuse from our MIA server. No bussing of the table. Piled high with dirty dishes. I watched the girl who was bussing tables chatting at the server station for several minutes not bussing our table (pictured along with our table as we paid the check still stacked with dirty dishes) back corner was all empty booths yet as we left I noticed no less than 5 servers doing nothing at the hostess station while guests were waiting! Very weak management evident, avoid.

Obviously, I love the bread with cinnamon butter. We had to wait 30 min to be seated at 2 pm on a Saturday, I think if you join a waiting line on line works better than just showing up when is busy. Ribeye with shrimp or ribs, you cannot go wrong with those.

Pretty good overall, but the food was a little off compared to normal. I’ve of the salads for the meal didn’t have much if any dressing, rolls were a little dry, and the chicken for one of the meals seemed slightly like mangled leftovers. Everything even up still being good, but I feel like Texas Roadhouse is typically better than this.

I had my first bad experience at any Texas Roadhouse here tonight.
First, the hostess was visibly annoyed we wouldn’t sit at the bar. We asked for an easy table to get in and out of, because my friend has a fractured foot, and she sat us at this huge booth that’s tricky to get in and out of. We asked to sit at a nearby table that was small and clean. She said “It’s this or the bar. You pick. Or you’re gonna wait for awhile.” My buddy said “I’ll survive” and slid in.
So, I have been craving a country fried steak and this place usually makes the best one. Tonight though, it was charred and overcooked. I let my waitress know and she shrugged and said “Yeah, we have a new person running the frier tonight” and walked off. The sides were great, but that’s about it this time.
It’s especially disappointing because we made a special trip from Cadillac to eat here. About an hour and 15 min drive. I guess that was our mistake.

Even though it was crazy busy, my sister and I only waited 5-10 minutes for a table. Not only was the server amazing and attentive, I didn’t see or hear anyone else having issues with their service. Food was hot and served in a timely manor. My prime rib was huge and delicious. My sister loved her smothered chicken. The staff were all so polite, friendly, and pleasant. I highly recommend this place and will definitely eat here again!

My husband was impressed with the amount of servers and speed of service. I noticed that the waitstaff were very kind. One gal was very helpful with an elderly customer who needed assistance getting her walker into the restroom. A small gesture that made a big impact. My family had a very good meal with good service. Thank you.

My wife and I walked in and asked for table for 2. Without giving us an estimated wait time for a table, the hostess told us there was room available at the bar. We sat at the bar and each ordered the prime rib. My wife got her side salad, but I never got my chili. Once her salad was finished, a few minutes passed and the prime rib came out. Once I was 2/3 of the way completed with my entree, another waitress came with my chili and said “oh you ordered prime rib… that comes out fast” sat the chili down at the bar and walked away.
That is no excuse. The prime rib didn’t come out overly fast, and my chili was just forgotten. A little of honestly or an apology would have gone a long way.
The only reason I’m giving 2 stars and not 1 is because the bartender was awesome and was working her tail off. Do better food runner person.

Me and my fiance were in last night for a date, our server was very attentive and soooo kind, the best honestly, she made sure we had rolls and drinks and was there for every need, we didn’t have to try to find her! I unfortunately didn’t get her name! The food was great the price was great and the rolls were soooo good! We will definitely be coming back.

Look at these beautiful smiling faces working here! My steak was overcooked- however… The fresh yeasty rolls, buttery real mashed potatoes, southern fried catfish and delicious salad made up for it. I think this place is a great value and usually my steaks are really cooked good here. I think people sleep on their catfish. It is really really good. It’s not that fake swai fish! Highly recommend their happy hour dining specials oh and they have really good five dollar drink specials throughout the week.
