I came in today for my first time to pick up some shrimp tacos and had a mixed experience.
On the positive side, the leading cashier who helped me when I arrived was absolutely amazing—very kind, welcoming, and professional. I was order number 30 and placed a takeout order.
However, the pickup process was very frustrating. I understand that sometimes dine-in orders may be prioritized, but the gentleman handling the takeout orders (short, dark-skinned man who was prepping/packaging food) skipped over my number multiple times. He called numbers 31 and 32 before mine and 33 , and I even saw another customer who ordered after me receive their food first.
When I asked if number 30 had been called, he said no and gave me attitude. Shortly after, another customer who ordered after me also got their food before I did. When I asked again where my order was, he said, “Oh it’s right here,” and my food had been sitting there the entire time.
As a first impression, this was disappointing. The lack of organization and customer service from the takeout area really took away from what could have been a great experience. I hope the team can improve communication and order management moving forward.

Let me tell you all about my experience here, my second time at one of these locations, 1st location was in Lawndale and it was delicious. Fast forward to 6 years later, and idk why it took so long to go back lol. We ordered a Mahi-Mahi burrito and it was huge and so good. We also ordered a battered Baja style fish taco and a battered Baja style shrimp taco and a carne asada taco for my little one and an horchata and Jamaica which were not too sweet. What we LOVE about this place is how fresh the food tastes and how the food is not dripping in oil. Very filling and not to the point where it’s so heavy that it makes you feel tired like most food. I felt light and energized after my savory meal. We agreed that we would be back more often! Oh and BTW the young lady at the front had amazing customer service so shout out to her.

Some of the best fish tacos of my life. Their beer battered fish tacos are light and fluffy and filling. Made perfectly with a golden crisp. At 18 weeks pregnant all I want are fish tacos and I’ve been roaming around trying fish taco spots. Fish tacos are all I can think about. This place takes the cake for beer battered fish tacos, hands down.
Their employees are super friendly and helpful. I wanted to order tacos to dine in, and tacos to go. They helped make that possible under one bill so that I could take fresh fish tacos home when I was ready.
There’s a bar with grilled guero chiles (yellow/blonde chiles) that are epic. Dusted in fine chili powder and salt, they make the perfect addition to any of the dining options on the menu.
You can see their ceviche options when you order, all of it is delicious and yes I took a bite while pregnant even tho I shouldn’t and I feel just fine.
Order online ahead of time or enjoy the tacos in the nice ambiance provided by the restaurant. Plenty of free parking out front in their parking lot.

A must try spot in your’re in the Lawndale area. Ensenada Surf & Turf Grill is one of those hidden gems you’ll be glad you found. Their tacos are solid across the board, but the real star is the fish taco—especially on Wednesdays when they’re only $2.99! You get a generous portion with a super crispy, flavorful batter that hits the spot every time.
They also have a little self-serve area with pickled onions, grilled peppers, and lemon wedges that take everything up a notch. The place has a chill, no-frills vibe, and the staff is friendly too. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re craving some bomb fish tacos.

Got a number three combo that comes with one fish taco and one shrimp taco. Comes beer battered with cabbage, tomatoes, added mayo and hot sauce with lemon. Also with beans and rice on the side and a drink. Turn around for the food was really quick within 5 min! Parking is really dense so had to wait a bit but worth the wait. I give this place an honest 5/5 for quality and service.

TERRIBLE TACOS on Taco Tuesday! The tortillas were as if they were just taken out of the fridge, not warmed or grilled. Same as you’d get from the groc. store. The chicken had NO FLAVOR WHATSOEVER and was DARK meat in chunks similar to what you get in CANNED CHICKEN, which it tasted like. Meat NOT grilled like most Mexican restaurants. Absolutely NO FLAVOR to the meat! I couldn’t believe it! Even the marinated onions had a weird taste compared to other Mexican restaurants’. Tacos were cold as I bit into them. I’ve never had worse tacos anywhere, except for maybe the AM/PM store. The noisy metal barstools not only very UNCOMFORTABLE, but so loud I jumped when a large person scooted theirs out. For a small place, it was EXTREMELY loud. Next time, I’ll stick with the Baja Mexican chain in Carson and Harbor City. Just thought I’d venture out a bit, but was HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. It was expensive for what you got…..cold, grocery store tortillas and meat so bad I spit it out. Trashed half of the plate, and I usu. never throw food away. ONLY good item there was the lime slices. They were fresh and plentiful and nicely cut. I had to smother my tacos in the lime juice just to give them any flavor at all, but then became soggy and big mess. SO disappointed in this place!! Never again! I’d think Redondo Beach would do better than this!

Great Find! Fresh delicious Fish tacos and more at a very reasonable price. Limited seating and very limited parking. So worth the wait and the crowds. Wednesdays fish tacos are on special, can’t beat it! Go early!
