We went for the first time and loved everything we ordered. Everything is made cooked to order so if you are in a hurry, we would suggest ordering ahead. It is a small dining room so take out is a good option too. The chef and staff are so very nice and the food is absolutely delicious. We would highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

We absolutely love this place – highly recommend! When we’re in town, we typically have a large order (7-8people) and they always do their best to accommodate. Last night, they only had enough salmon for one order but volunteered to go out and buy more salmon for us. Everything was prepared fresh and hot! We had a little bit of a wait (1hr+) but that was for 7 dinners and it was worth it. Everyone loved their meal. We appreciate the staff who cooked and prepped everything. We will definitely be back!

I tried 785 Kitchen for the first time and it did not disappoint. I ordered the catfish with green beans and mac and cheese 10/10. The food was like a home-cooked meal. On top of that, the staff was friendly and welcoming, which always makes the experience better. The owner even came out and introduced himself, which shows how much they care about their customers. This place was amazing. We live in Wichita and we might have to swing through Topeka next time we go to KC. It’s that good. Best Jerk Chicken I’ve ever had. The Mac & cheese was over the top cheesy. Gumbo spiced just right. Hub got the chicken fried steak and loved it. Go! This chef is just starting out and he’s GOOD.

Good food, the meatloaf dinner was more than great, it was amazing. Service was fast. the cashier was friendly and prompt. The cook brought our food to the table. And said hello and welcomed us. This I enjoyed. Could have used a little more than a can to drink, but that would be my fault. I believe I also had orka. It was done perfect . Cool place I will go back again.
