My husband and I share the same birthday and decided to celebrate at Lapin Perdu, the restaurant inside Naramata Inn. Years ago, we had a wonderful birthday dinner here, and this return visit was just as memorable. The French-inspired dishes using local ingredients were excellent, especially the Albacore Tuna Niçoise—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. We had a 5:00 p.m. reservation, and by 6:30 the restaurant was completely full. Their Thanksgiving menu, featuring Confit de Canard and Crispy Pork Shoulder, was also outstanding. Can’t wait to return after their winter break!

It is a treat to dine at the Naramata Inn restaurant. We sat on the covered porch with a view of the extensive and beautifully-kept grounds and received impeccable service from Melinda. She was warm and enthusiastic and made us feel so comfortable. Overall the food was good, but I think it could have been better. I was not wowed by the flavours as I would expect to be at a restaurant of this calibre. Presentation was on point, but my flat iron steak was very chewy and it was a mistake to deconstruct the pavlova so that the meringue was in hard little bars (see photo). I did love the chunk of maitake mushroom in my main. That was an excellent treat. The cocktails were superb.

We usually come once a year for a special occasion.
Two years ago we came for our anniversary and were blown away by the cuisine, last year we also came and had an ok experience but we decided to try it again for my birthday dinner recently and it did not disappoint.
The menu was, if I had to describe it, Japanese / French fusion. Upon every bite, I had to stop and comment on how incredible the food was. This is the Naramata inn we remember loving two years ago.
Funny enough, we chatted with our lovely server who informed us they have a new chef who previously worked at one of our favourite restaurants when we lived in Vancouver, L’Abbatoir.
Further, ambiance is cozy and service is friendly and informative. We also were suggested a Chardonnay that’s become a new favourite. All around 5 star experience.

This was our first time at the narramata inn restaurant. We decided to do the dine around menu, even though it’s all they offered.
The courses were absolutely delicious from the burrata torelini in pea puree to the tiramisu. We left feeling full but not too stuffed.
The cocktails were also delicious and a fantastic wine pairing with the duck.

What an amazing experience! Our dinner was fantastic from appetizer to desert.

We dined at Bistro Lapin Perdu last evening and it was so nice to return to this beautiful property in Naramata. We sat on the veranda on a lovely early fall evening. Nice to see the local options for beer and wine. We both ordered the Bouillabaisse and the fish was fresh and delicious. The Pinot Blanc was a delightful accompaniment. We didn’t care for the rouille spread thick on the grilled bread even though the gentleman(owner) when inquiring about this did imply we should have enjoyed it. I’m assuming it’s an individual preference. Service from our waitress was friendly and on point.

We had another beautiful evening at the bistro. Michael helped us find the perfect wine. The highlights were the steaks, duck and yummy chocolate pot dessert! We will be back again and sitting outside on a warm night on the lovely patio is a perfect fit.

We celebrated our anniversary at Bistro Lapin Perdu and were so well taken care of by Michael & Tanya during the last seating of a stunning evening on the patio. The setting was charming and relaxed, with just the right touch of elegance for a special night out.

We found a great bottle from their thoughtful wine list, and finished with the pot de crème — which sealed the deal on a 10/10 experience.

Read your audience…you have the opportunity to define Okanagan cuisine with access to incredible, local ingredients and suppliers. I have been coming to the Inn for more than 20 years and have seen many changes but this is by far the biggest departure and not in a good way. Grossly overpriced, pretentious menu that lacks any bit of flexibility. People are leaving here hungry and feeling ripped off…a major miss for such a precious Naramata asset.
