A spacious, open, and clean dining room at 888 Cookhouse. We were promptly greeted, and sat where we desired. Table staff was excellent and accommodating. The lunch specials were tasty, filling, and served hot. We will gladly go back to the 888 Cookhouse again.

We were a group of 7 and the place was empty. Used to go there quite often but I will not be going back. The food was not good at all and the service was awful. This is the second time in recent months I’ve been there and the quality of the food was bad. One person said something about her sesame chicken, the chicken looked weird and the wait staff just said that it supposed to be that way. Would not take it back to the kitchen. We all will not be going back.

This has to be one of my favorite places! The food is very good! When you go there, you have to try the Orange Chicken and Pork Soup Buns. There are many spots to choose if you want to sit down and enjoy your meal! This is why I am a repeat customer!

Wow !!! Amazingly delicious The flavors were on point and the lunch portion was perfect ! I had the Mongolian beef and I just LOVED it! I was skeptical at first but I’m sooooo glad I came in. I live over 2 hrs away and was in the neighborhood for a little bit and popped in. This place also would be perfect for big parties ! Thank you so much for the best Chinese I’ve had in a very very long time . Keep it up !!

Absolutely incredible food! Amazing service! And authentic to boot! Loved every single thing I ordered. The spicy spare ribs were to die for, seasoned to perfection.
Their boneless chili chicken was perfect, too! If you want an authentic experience right here in Frisco, look no further than the cookhouse! The staff is amazing, the food was phenomenal (check out their fish!! The S2 fish was so on point!!), and I don’t think I’ve had a better experience here locally for some good, solid Chinese cuisine.

Ordered two sesame chicken dishes on 2/13. Unfortunately, the chicken looked and tasted old and overcooked. It seemed like the sauce was used to cover up the quality. The fried rice was also dry. $40 wasted

This place was great. We got 5 entrees with 2 appetizers for a great price, plenty to feed a family of 5+. We got the soup pork dumplings and the regular dumplings pan fried as the appetizers and the garlic shrimp, sesame chicken, Mongolian beef, garlic beef, the Eggplant dish as the main entrees. The garlic shrimp had a sweet sour sauce, which I was not expecting, and all the dishes had a decent spice to it. Great flavors and portion sizes, definitely good for sharing or traditional family style dinner.
The service was okay. They were very fast to bring out the food but did not seem the most organized. When we first entered, they did not seem to notice us but just sat us without menus and later gave us the menu after ordering our drinks, but otherwise the service is good and they are very kind.

Ordered the orange chicken and jalapeño beef. I’m a spicy lover so wanted to try some of their spicer dishes. Orange chicken had a good breading/crunch to it and chicken was tender. Jalapeño beef was ok, has alot of peppers but just wish had more kick. Went during lunch so the lunch portions were definitely a good size to satisfy for the $. Service started out slow as seen other patrons arrive 5+mins after and get served while we were still waiting for food including soup. But the waitress was nice and kept making rounds with water. Its good enough to try for other menu items to see if can be a usual spot.
