The pop up was at the market on Edgewood. My first time visiting the place. The salmon philly looks ok… Compared to the Instagram videos they post about them, mine wasn’t as hyped up! Its a tasty sandwich.

The chicken wings were really tender and seasoned perfectly. The salmon Philly was seasoned well. The salmon was moist and full of flavor. The sauce was a little too spicy but the food didn’t need it. All of the flavor was on point without it. The wait was a bit long but it was okay. We had time.

The owners are down to earth, which made my experience delightful. The chicken was amazing. I had mild and boss flavors, and I loved it from the first bite. The BOSS sauce is definitely bossing. If you’re in the area, please stop by and support. You won’t regret it

The Retro Grill, discovered by my husband through IG, exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we walked in, it was clear we were in for a treat. I ordered the Sunshine Jerk Salmon Combo, complete with their signature Boss Sauce, alongside the Sunshine Jerk Chicken Combo and the indulgent Goodie Mob fries. Each bite was bursting with flavor, perfectly seasoned, and undeniably satisfying.
The staff, notably Q and Kheli, added to the experience with their warm, attentive service. It’s rare to find a team so genuinely passionate about what they serve, and their energy was infectious.
On the beverage side, the blueberry lemonade offered a refreshing contrast to the richness of the meal, while The Peachtree Street cocktail was a true standout—vibrant, smooth, and perfectly balanced.
A visit to The Retro Grill is more than just a meal; it’s an experience. We’ll definitely be returning soon.

We visited The Retro Diner today and let me tell you—it did not disappoint! We started with the jerk salmon sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was toasted to perfection, giving that ideal crunch, while the salmon hit the perfect texture balance—not too wet, not too dry. The flavors were on point, definitely bringing that authentic Jamaican vibe that made every bite a delight.
Next up, we tried the hot lemon pepper chicken wings, and oh my goodness—they are the bomb! I especially appreciated that they serve whole wings, not just the drummies. It’s a refreshing change and made the experience feel a bit more special.
Given that The Retro Diner is a Chicago spot, I’d love to see them add Italian Beefs to their menu. It would be a fantastic addition to the already tasty lineup!
For those planning a visit, parking is conveniently located at the rear of the restaurant at intersection (Courtland ST & Renaissance Pkwy).
Overall, The Retro Diner is definitely worth a visit—great food, great vibes, and I’m already looking forward to my next meal there!

We came in during Streets Alive on 7/28/24. The salmon philly on the sign outside caught our eye, so we were curious what else they had. The jerk chicken loaded fries were excellent, especially with that boss sauce and ranch dressing all over them. The salmon philly was as delicious as we thought it would be, and the burger also hit high on the list of best burger in town. We also had the casamigos frozen cocktail they just put on the menu. It was also delicious, but a little too expensive. Overall, we had a great experience sitting at the bar and are already planning on what we will order for our second visit; the Patty melt, chopped cheese, and regular Philly

Saw them advertised on social media. When you arrive, there is a parking lot next door, but you have to pay for parking. No one greeted me at the door. You seat yourself. There are some small plaques with QR codes on them to pull up the menu. Not much customer service here. I ordered the jerk salmon philly, which came with fries. The philly looked like it was prepared jerk style, but was lacking jerk flavor. Needed some sauce or something. Also, the philly was definitely smaller than advertised on various social media channels. The philly was decent, just needed a bit more toppings. The fries weren’t hot, and were packaged soggy, so they were terrible. Also, it was a 30-minute wait, and there were 5 customers seated in the whole place. At least I gave them a chance.

Retro Grill Atlanta, where do I start, I guess I should start with how I came across this location, social media, this establishment came across my social media platforms on a few different occasions, and the food looked sooooo yummy, so I thought, let me take a ride there and give this food a try. Now I have to admit the food was A1, I ordered their famous Jerk Salmon philly, along with 5 whole wings with boss sauce. I also purchased a veeeerrry (Hercules) adult beverage, which the bar tender did an excellent job in preparing. Atmosphere was very dope, love the various artistic pictures on the wall and the music selection was quite nostalgic and pleasant, not ratchet. I took a point off due to service, and I would like to explain why, although my waiter was pretty awesome, they serve your food in to-go containers and your drinks in plastic cups. They charge a 20% up charge on items purchased, which drives the price up tremendously. Now this is a major issue with me, because I felt I paid the price of eating at an upscale type of restaurant, but was served in a non-upscale way, if that makes sense. I think if they perhaps served dine-in customers on real plates, and served drinks in nice glasses, and provided customers with real cutlery, customers wouldn’t feel so slighted by the price they are being charged for food. I will probably visit this restaurant again, but not as often as I would like. (Food was delicious)

Food was decent. Could use some kind of sauce for the jerk salmon Philly. Don’t expect real customer service when you get here. A guy hooked me up with a free refill. I appreciated. And the bartender was cool.. The wait was pretty long for it to be pretty empty. Plus paying for parking . It wasn’t my best experience.. thanks instagram ..
