Was an excellent idea trying this restaurant, so happy we did! I love having this option for something different in the area when we get tired of the same old same old. It is a true gem of Santa Cruz that really can’t be beat with its quality food, generous portions and outstanding service. Nestled across the street from the wharf and boardwalk this is the perfect location to take a break and enjoy a delicious meal. There is outdoor and indoor seating and a bar serving up well balanced cocktails. They have authentic Indian cuisine and even pizza, this menu has something for everyone. The service is excellent our server was welcoming and a pure delight, believe his name was Nike. We absolutely devoured the lamb Vindaloo it was easily the best quality and best spice you can find in Santa Cruz. The chef’s really go all out and do not cut corners developing a beautiful depth of flavors that is so addicting. We can’t wait to go back and try more. 5 stars!

We ordered 2 chai and a portion of samosa. The food was tasty including the 3 chutneys. The only disappointing thing for me was the value for.money. the samosas were pretty small and 3 in a plate costing $13. I felt it was pretty expensive for the portion.

First time ever going to an indian restaurant and I was not disappointed. The food was incredibly good and filling and the staff was also incredibly kind and always there to help. If its your first time coming here or trying real authentic indian food id recommend getting the mild spice levels first due to the more spicy things having a more acquired taste. Overall it was all good and would definitely come back.

Had lunch here. We ordered the tandoori chicken which was a generous portion cooked to perfection. The vegetarian biryani was so tasty. The garlic buttery naan was beyond amazing!
Overall I would rate this place with 5+ stars!

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Our food was served cold and given to another table first. When we informed the staff, they exchanged the plates but did so with visible irritation and offered no apology, despite the mistake being theirs. Considering the high prices, the service and food quality were not acceptable. We won’t be visiting again.

Namaste Bar and grill
The food at this restaurant was the best Indian food my wife and I have ever had. It’s in a location near the Santa Cruz Boardwalk arcade. It has a few tables outside as well as tables in the inside and a nice bar.
We chose to sit outside at a table in the sun. We ordered the chatpat Murg, the grilled Salmon, Butter Naan and Jeera rice.
The salmon came out first on a sizzling platter on top of onions. It had a beautiful red color and amazing spices. It was perfectly cooked. My wife and I were wowed by it.
A few minutes later, the Chatpat Murg, melt in your mouth sliced chicken thighs , arrived on a similar sizzling plate with onions. I would say that it bears a resemblance to chicken tikka, but was far more luscious with intense flavors and wonderful spices. We’re also wowed by this dish.
We were even amazed by the Naan.
The rice was a nice accompaniment as well.
Our server Prashant was excellent , guiding us through the menu and attentive to our needs.
I wish I had taken pictures of the dishes because they were beautiful.

We came here as a family of five and the staff were very accommodating for our group. The staff were wonderful and so enjoyable to talk with. There were plenty of vegan options and we enjoyed all the food. The flavors were incredible and everything felt fresh. The mushroom curry was one of our favorites! I would highly recommend coming here.

Good Indian food right she what’s. Has outside and inside seating. Dishes run for about $20-$30. Alo gobi was good and well prepared but a bit too small for $20. The spinach cheese naan was great.

They got the best spot rite across the beach and boardwalk. We never expected the food to be this good. Expecting this to americanized indian cuisine, we were in for a treat. Butter chicken was the perfect spice and thickness. Chicken manjoorian tasted the best from various places i tried in the bay area. Yummy lassi. The crew was warm and welcoming. Not too pricy as well considering the location. This is a perfect Indian restaurant. I didn like the masala fries. Too crispy. Tea can be better.
