I ordered a Tipsy Grandpa; the pizza was stale and old. It seems they just reheat previously made pizza and add vodka sauce and dry pieces of chicken. QUALITY WAS BAD!!!! I also ordered the Upside Down Grandma and Stromboli. I placed my order online, and it only took 20 minutes to be ready.
I don’t mind paying $75 for a pizza, but please do not serve garbage to customers! Serve fresh pizza! It’s not about the money, it’s about integrity and quality!!!

Pleasantly surprised at the tastiness of this half pepperoni pizza we picked up on a moment’s whim as we headed to visit a patient at a nearby rehab center. In fact, it was so delicious I wanted to cry as a pepperoni slice slid off the patient’s lap and hit the floor! We will be back! Give ‘em a try. You won’t be disappointed.

I’ve been coming to and ordering from Alfonso’s for over 15 years now here in Hillsborough. In 2025, they sold the business to new owners. Like many, I was concerned about what this meant for the food there and the business but gave it a fair chance all year since I knew there would be a growing pain of taking over a well establish business in town. My honest opinion is that they have not disappointed at all, and I love all of the food. Often times I’ve ordered pizza or pasta dishes there for myself and it’s just as amazing as it always has been (My personal favorite is the personal deep dish). I’ve also ordered for family and friends, and they keep asking me “Where did you get the food from? It’s amazing!” When I tell them it’s from Alfonso’s here in Hillsborough who now have new owners, their reaction then is “Really?! We actually like it better than before!” Definitely means the new owners are doing something right! I just had them cater my New Year’s Eve Party, something the original owners have done for close to 10 years now, and they got everything perfect for me and 25 guests in my home. Communication is definitely key here. While there were some differences or some things they did not offer any more, we were all able to speak and make it right for the needs of me and my guests. Needless to say, I was always a loyal customer and will continue to do so with the new amazing owners!

Recommendation to make a stuffed cheesy crust pizza (crust stuffed with cheese only). I don’t believe anyone else in town does this that isn’t a chain owned pizza place!

I got a lot of food for value $14.95 +tax. The taste was good, only steak with onions was chewy ;rice, beans , breads , tortillas were delicious. They need to add spark in interior design, to place couple tv’s , some decorations, plants that will be pleasantly attracted.

We stopped in on a Friday evening for dinner. The dining room was a bit odd (catering cases) but we sat down at a table for our meal. Service was good and friendly. We started with an order of garlic knots – they were good. We had two pizzas: a BLT pizza (we ordered no tomato) and a Chicago style stuffed pizza. The thin crust on the BLT was outstanding! The stuffed pizza was really good as well. We got 2 small pizzas and ended up taking a lot to go. We’ll definitely stop back here in our next time in town

The best pizza in Hillsborough. Not only do they have amazing pizza, they are consistently fast and on time with delivery orders. Pick ups are nice too because of how nice and friendly the staff is. Recommend this place to anyone in the area.

I ordered catering from Alfonso’s in Hillsborough and it was excellent! Everyone at the party thought the food was delicious. They did an excellent job and it was delivered perfectly. The owners are really nice and make ordering and paying for the order very easy. They have a catering menu online which makes it very easy to plan and pick out what you want. I highly recommend them and will definitely order more catering from them in the future!

Alfonso’s Pizzeria and Restaurant is tucked in a strip mall at a busy intersection off of 206. There is ample parking and the restaurant is separated into a dining in section and a takeout section. The dine-in section has a good atmosphere with tasteful decorations and a very comfortable feel to it. The staff was very polite and happy to do what they could to make my experience positive. The best part about dining in is the bread that gets brought to the table. The bread is delicious and fluffy, pairing well with butter.
Though I haven’t tried a standard plain slice yet, the pizza I have sampled is very decent. The personal pie I had was half sausage and half plain and used the same base and crust as the bread that was delivered to the table. The sausage was of the chunky variety and tasted great. In the normal slices I ordered, the pan slice had fresh cheese and a crispy crust and base combo. The color was slightly more orange than I’m used to, but the taste was consistent with most pan-style slices I’ve ordered. I think perhaps that it was the cheese that gave it this color. Overall the sauce was decent and I would happily order the slice again. The meat lovers slice was very filling and featured ham, sausage, pepperoni, and bacon. The slice is about what you’d expect from any pizzeria and didn’t stand out too much. It is a good choice if you’re hungry. I will be sure to stop in and try the plain slice one of these days to get a gauge on their standard quality.
