Boy with a name like Crack Chicken you need to deliver, and this chicken shack does just that! Awesome, super tasty and addicting chicken, fries and much more! A play on words, this place is no joke, it’ll have you coming back again and again for your chicken fix! If you’re ever on the Lansing area this is a must stop for any food enthusiast!

This was my 1st time trying this place. I was craving fried chicken but didn’t want KFC or Popeyes so I googled some more “local” chicken spots. Honestly for me, the seasoning is fire!! But the quality of the chicken was blah… I got 10 pc wing ding and 5 pc chicken leg. The wing dings are nothing special.. overcooked, dried out, and not worth the money. I ate 5 and threw the rest away…The chicken leg was pretty crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside but one of my legs was missing lol. I got half a leg with mostly bone (see picture) I didn’t even eat all of it because the seasoning was starting to make me super thirsty lol. So for me, I didn’t feel it was worth the $15 I spent, don’t think I’ll think back anytime soon.
The guy at the counter was super nice though!! I’m guessing he was the owner or manager because all the employees were asking him things.

All of the chicken I’ve tried has been delicious. Perfect amount of breading and juicy chicken. The crack seasoning is great. Ask for heavy seasoning. The sides are great as well. My new favorite chicken place.

Honestly the best fried chicken I have had. Perfect crisp, seasoning is amazing, service is top notch. A must stop if in Lansing. Call ahead as they do make it fresh so there was a wait but it was well worth it.

I asked for a 10 piece wing, and they gave me 10 Whole Wings. Make sure you are specific about what kind of wings you want. I had to throw away a lot of food because I couldn’t eat it all. The white sea bass was good. The banana pudding is very basic. With no bananas in it. The carmel cake was ok. Kind of dry.

Amazing fried food, not just the chicken, but everything. Good fried okra is hard to find around here, definitely recommend. The spicy chicken sandwich was excellent.
I ordered online for lunch, and it was ready in 25 min. There’s no dining inside, but there are a few seats to wait and some tables outside. Don’t forget to try their sweets too!

When you enter the left side of the establishment, it has a little section of pantry items available for purchase, including their crack chicken seasoning mix. There are a few seats while you wait for an order and a little cooler with beverages for purchase. To the right, you will find the counter where you order. They have on display a large variety of individually wrapped cakes and desserts. The staff is not friendly. I did have to wait 15 minutes for 5 wings and fries. I do appreciate the freshness of the food, though. The crack seasoning they use is pretty good. It has a lemony flavor. The chicken was very crispy, and fries were good too. I would definitely get take out here again and just plan to have a longer wait than a fast food restaurant. Plenty of parking is available in their lot.

So a few months ago went to Frankenmuth to the Bavarian inn because it’s famous for its fried chicken. I’m here to tell you crack chicken is hands down 100 times better!! Bavarian inn may be a fancy place but we were not impressed with anything there. Crack chicken and all the sides I’ve tried so far have been excellent
