Excellent place to stop to eat & shop! Ida, our waitress, was exceptional. Service was 1st class as was food and atmosphere. Home cooking at its best. Fantastic bakery items at very reasonable prices.

THIS IS A GREAT GLUTEN-FREE OPTION RESTAURANT FOR CELIAC. We were traveling through and were hoping for some down to earth Amish food. This is it. My daughter has Celiac and they were very upstanding and made her an amazing gluten-free roast beef sandwich with homemade bread and sweet potatoes. We got the buffet. Top likes for me was the fried chicken, mashed taters and gravy, the stuffing was to die for. Never had a dill pickled hard boiled egg before and WOW. it was so delectable. Their potato salad was amazingly fresh, crisp and very tasty. The environment was pleasant and inviting.
When we arrived my daughter had a really bad headache. I asked if they had something more natural to help her. One of them brought some dolterra peppermint oil out that was her own personal oil. That was beyond appreciated. It helped and showed the love of the employees here. I so wish I could of bought me a couple of pies. They looked so Devine and made with love. Because of our travels I unfortunately could not buy any. That was my only disappointment was not being able to get a blueberry or cherry pie. If I ever come back 100% I will come here. Unfortunately I live in Utah. Thank you to Mary Yoder’s staff and your love and kindness.

Loved this beautiful restaurant, bakery and gift shop. Warm and inviting atmosphere. Huge buffet! Extremely clean with fresh beautiful flowers at each table and around the restaurant. Food was given in heaping portions and everything homemade, right down to the gravy! Nothing was boxed or reconstituted. Truly honest “down home” cooking and extremely reasonably priced! A definite MUST if you’re in Ohio.

I havent been to an Amish restaurant in 20 years… and was not very impressed, sadly to say… we waited at the ‘to be seated’ area for about 10 minutes, while the hostess and two teen males were counting menus/placemats. (I heard later that they were almost out of them, and we’re letting future patrons order from the placemat AND THEN TAKING THEM BACK FOR FUTURE PATRONS!!!) Anyway, we were seated, our server never smiled, she was courteous, but obviously wasnt too happy… food was good! There wasnt a single item i tried that wasnt great! And the store had some very cute items. The kitchen magnets were especially funny! And it turns out all the non edible items were 50% off in the store, due to remodeling thats going to take place… but overall the restaurant was ok, and the food- great!

This restaurant offers basic country recipes that can be ordered off the menu or one can choose the buffet. The
restaurant offers a country store with local baked goods, jellies, and fine decor. The store also offers a collection of country type items made in different countries. There is plenty of parking and a large room for meetings. We even got to see some horse and buggies and a large Amish farm on the way.

Friendly atmosphere and the place is clean. They offer Amish fare of hearty comfort foods and country classics. The food is basic but tasty and filling. My wife had the Manhatten half order. This is a roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes. You can get other meats, if you prefer. I had a tuna melt. My sandwich was a little runny, but good. My wife liked her meal as well. Our service was excellent.
Amish restaurants, you need to order pie. They have a large selection of fruit, berry and cream pies. There is also a bakery and gift shop in the building.

The first time we went to Mary Yoder’s we enjoyed everything, but that was probably fifteen years ago. We’ve been there probably three to four times in that time and it just hasn’t been very good.
This past visit on Saturday February 21st was probably our worst visit. There were three of us, myself, my friend and my father and two out of three of us didn’t like our experience. The food was cold and didn’t taste very good, except for the french fries that I ordered with my meal, and my father claimed that the noddles from the noodles over mashed potatoes tastes strange.
The Server was very nice, young but nice, but the service itself was very slow.
The worst part of our experience was that while Mary Yoder’s claims to be an “Amish” kitchen but it surely does not feel as though it is. Maybe we’re spoiled by Amish restaurants that we frequented when we lived in Southeastern Pennsylvania like the now defunct “Good N’ Plenty” in Ronks, PA, but Mary Yoder’s just does not seem like an authentic Amish restaurant.
I’m sure we’ll be back just to help support local businesses but we hope that the place changes.

I being a 26-year-old male bisexual was very nervous to visit one of the most highly populated Amish capitals in the United States, although the Amish Encapsulate my interest of their simplicity and peaceful lives when I entered the residence, I was greeted with warm welcoming words of affirmation. I did not wait long and I was taken to my table by A nice girl. I sat down and ordered a vegetable garden, which ended up being delicious. I would recommend if you come here. OH I am also vegan! Of in the distance I saw the most cute boy I have ever seen in my life. The feelings I felt for him without even speaking a word were so intimate. He was tall, had blonde fluffy hair, which I find so attractive. He had glasses and looked like he was working the dishwasher. The main purpose of me writing this review is that he would reach out to me and and maybe we could become something in the future. Please I know you’re my soulmate!
