Passing through from Texas, I stopped in at Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken in Liberty, KY for the very first time ever with girlfriend.(410 Wallace Wilkinson blvd). The store is very nice looking from outside so we figured we would try them out. I was immediately greeted by cashier with a smile. After, she helped placed my order (check 197) and politely gave me my receipt along with two fountain cups. I grabbed my drink and noticed 5-7 black particles floating inside cup. Clean the nozzle please. My gf drink tasted foul. Before we could sit down from grabbing drinks the food is walked out before we selected a table. I hurried to select a table and noticed crumbs in the seat. The food was not fresh at all. The fish was extra greasy like it had been sitting awhile. The chicken crust was stale and hard to bite. Fries were cold and the sides no comment. I immediately requested for a refund. I would not have posted a review but for the fact Sam the cashier/ food clerk ATE THE FRIES RIGHT OFF THE TRAY OF MY MEAL I RETURNED RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME AND MY GIRLFRIEND ALL IN THE PROCESS OF A REFUND. He yelled “cashier is not my job” and rolled his eyes. Be more professional. Has to be my last visit.

Fast Food…Homemade style.
My mom and I stopped in for a bite. We both decided that we wanted “real food”, not fast food. The choices we made…we’re the right ones!! Chicken tenders for me and a leg and thigh for her…and we both decided on potato wedges…our favorites. The food was brought to our table, with a big smile. The staff was awesome and the price was also good.
Great experience!!

I assume the fryer machines have a timer so the food isn’t under or overcooked? My wife said I should always open the box and check to that I got what I ordered. She also said be sure to count and make sure they didn’t give me less than what the menu says. She’s the one who always gets the food from the place.

Today was my first stop. Correct me if I’m wrong, is Lee’s famous for dry, overcooked chicken? And I didn’t see a 7-piece box (chicken only) option on the menu. Is this how it always is here?

Ok if you expect chicken jerky half the time. Not sure if it is the cook or?? But literally half the time we end up with too much that just can’t be chewed up! Kinda a disappointment when you’ve spent 30$ on a meal and live 15 miles from town. Cant just take it back
And the slaw tasted like it had been frozen. By the time we were ready to eat it there was a weird water taste and no crunch at all in it.

By far my most favorite less restaurant in the state of Kentucky ❤️❤️❤️ the food here reminds me of the lees liberty used to have back in the early to mid 2000s.

Spent $63 today at Lee’s in Liberty. All the chicken was over cooked and so dry you couldn’t eat it. The mac and cheese was missing some cheese, and all of the sandwiches (there were 3) were so over salted they couldn’tbe eaten. So from $63 worth of food we got to eat the mashed potatoes and gravy.

The food was terrible. I thought it would be fresh because we came early. It was all cold. I would have rather ate school cafeteria food.
