Good experience at Favazza’s! We stopped in for dinner before the garden glow. Service was good but nothing exceptional. They have great bread as a starter. Sicilian chicken was delicious as well as the veal parmigiana.

Bread basket and side salads were great. Entrées were good, but not outstanding for the price point.
Portion sizes were excellent for the pastas and suitable for the protein entrees we had.
Servers were attentive and knowledgeable.
Sat down at 6pm, sides were delivered at 6:31, entrees delivered at 6:59. Good wine options were available as well.

Hadn’t eaten here in years used to be a really quaint cozy place, but it’s expanded a lot, so not as cozy. Our waiter Matthew was outstanding, and delightfully funny and entertaining for my group. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs and was just a little disappointed. It was okay, but it wasn’t the best I’ve had. All my friends raved about their meals, which included cannelloni and tortellini. I always forget to take pictures before I start eating, lol, so here’s the spaghetti and meatballs there should be two meatballs, but I cut one up before I took the picture, and also the small dinner salad.

It was definitely an experience and flashback to the 90s with waters and lemons on the table, that era of decor and salads come with the special The service was stellar and the food was pretty good. I especially enjoyed the salmon salad with blue cheese. It’s a bit hidden on the menu.

Came here for my wife’s birthday lunch. We got toasted ravioli, cannelloni, the daily special (shrimp rigatoni), a salad, and tiramisu.
It was all pretty tasty. The only thing that wasn’t great was the bread, a soft sesame bread served with butter that was too hard to spread. The tiramisu was good but had sugar mixed in with the cocoa layer, which gave it a grainy texture.
Service was exceptionally quick. We had no trouble getting a parking spot in the dedicated lot next to the building.
As for prices, I think the toasted ravioli was $10, the cannelloni $14, the special pasta w/ salad $20, and the tiramisu $10.

We had reservations on a Saturday night. This was our first time coming here, and my first time at The Hill. Everything was delicious and exceeded our expectations. We both agreed that the steaks we had were the best we’ve had in years. We can’t wait to come back. The server was very attentive and quick, as well as the other staff coming around to fill our waters up or take dirty plates. It was truly an amazing night out for us and we will be back.

Always great food and service. We introduced friends who had never been here to the restaurant. The experience was wonderful. Our waiter and his support were wonderful. Attentive but not pushy. We had an outstanding experience. By far our favorite restaurant on the Hill.

It was our first visit and a great place. Enjoyed the main course, great salad. Was very pleased to be able to make reservations as that isn’t always the case anywhere else. The side pasta with the entree had a marinara that wasn’t for my palate,(kind of tasted like it was straight tomato sauce w/o any seasoning, but others might enjoy. Highly recommend.

“Emphasizing” the Wait, but Ultimately Positive
Favazza’s on the Hill is a St. Louis classic, and for good reason! We traveled all the way from San Diego, and while our wait for food was an unexpected hour and 40 minutes, the exceptional quality of the meal truly made up for it. Our waiter, Mike, provided absolutely great service, keeping our spirits up despite the delay. When the food did arrive, it was a revelation. The house lasagna was unexpectedly delicious, and the steak mudega was nothing short of excellent. We’d definitely recommend Favazza’s for a taste of authentic Italian, just be prepared for a potential wait on busy nights (Saturday)!
