Parking lot always full so that’s a good indication. Always a wait to get in but they have a nice waiting aria. The food is good but highlight definitely the Fresh Tortillas I love eating them plane or dipping in this complimentary salsa as I’m waiting for my meal

I’ve had the pleasure of dining at Ted’s Escondido on Council Road in Oklahoma City several times, and every experience has been outstanding! From the moment you walk in, the restaurant is spotlessly clean and inviting. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and a real treat. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but their signature dishes are definitely a highlight.
A special shoutout to the General Manager, Stephen Hilmes, who goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels welcome. He’s always friendly, attentive, and creates a great atmosphere for families and individuals alike.
The restaurant is fully accessible for those with disabilities and has plenty of free parking, making it easy to enjoy a meal without any hassle. It’s also a very kid-friendly environment, making it a perfect spot for families to enjoy dinner together. As an extra perk, kids eat FREE on Mondays with a paid parent!!
What really sets Ted’s apart, though, is its commitment to the community. They’re incredible supporters of both Oklahoma City Public Schools and Western Heights Public Schools, helping students and teachers in meaningful ways. It’s refreshing to see a local business so invested in the community.
If you haven’t visited yet, I highly recommend it—great food, great service, and a great cause!

We were “greeted” at the “hostess stand” by a young girl who “rolled her eyes” when we told her “party of 16” at 1:20. Her constant “scoul” for the next 50 minutes while we waited to be seated was the complete opposite of “hostess”. The “co-worker” & “on-duty manager” were defensive as well.
However! Our waitress was literally outstanding and handled our drinks, food orders, etc. with an uncommon courtesy and professionalism!!! You will notice I am constantly asked to “review” and literally have never had such behavior flaunted. I eat out about 10-12 times a week & have been eating at Ted’s OKC possibly since before this “hostess” was born and am quite shocked at what we experienced. Just thought you should be prepared in case you encounter a similar situation. (received a text stating we would be “waiting an additional 30 minutes after waiting 20/25 minutes).

Well I will start off by saying it was for a group of 16 people for a birthday since they don’t do reservations I got there a hour early to let them know how many people and what time it will be for and it comes to being that time and didn’t have tables for our group even though I got there a hour earlier out of respect for them to give a heads up so instead of getting tables set up for us I watched them sit other groups. Told us it would take half an hour to sit us after waiting so long. To be honest I just think they didn’t want to sit us which I’m very disappointed about because I absolutely love Ted’s

Came here the other day because I wanted to get some good fajitas. I ordered the combination beef and jalapeño sausage atomic style. Met the expectations I had for the restaurant. The wait staff was very prompt and kind as well. The server the people beside me got may have been a little to helpful though… He was the type of server that would stop at the table for like five minutes and just tell story after story after story, it was very humorous for me to watch, but I’m sure the other patrons were a little annoyed.

The wife and decided to grab lunch and a few margaritas after shopping. Walking in they asked would we like to sit in the bar area and that made sense considering we had margaritas in mind. After sitting and waiting for the chips a family showed up with a high chair and booster. Two minutes later a family showed up with another booster. 5 tables and three of them had children in the BAR area. So we skipped the margaritas because of the crying and feeling weird with children sitting in the BAR area. Why wouldn’t the management and hostess tell party’s with children the BAR area is for adults only? The table of lady behind also making comments. Well Ted’s missed out on drink orders and we ate as fast as possible to get out of there. I will never go back into their fake BAR area where children apparently are able to be even though the able commission says no one under 21!
Poor Karen had to keep picking chips and tortillas off the floor because the kids in boosters at two separate table thought it was funny to throw them at each other!
There should NEVER be a high chair or booster in a BAR area.

I had an amazing experience trying Ted’s cafe for the first time last night. I ordered a plate of sizzling fajitas, and the blend of fresh vegetables, tender meat, and bold spices was unlike anything I had ever tasted. The homemade salsa and warm tortilla chips were so good that I kept reaching for more without even realizing it. Our server Trey was friendly and took the time to explain the dishes, which made the experience even more enjoyable. By the time I left, I knew I had discovered a new favorite restaurant . I’m already looking forward to going back and trying something new.
