I was thoroughly impressed with this place, the service, and the food! The mocktails were fabulous! One of the bartenders made me a special Huckleberry mint mocktail bc I wanted something sweet…I loved it. The Sinfluencer sans the liquor was refreshing. I tasted two different presentations of Ahi tuna…I preferred the starter but both were great and a huge portion for the entree. We ordered the bolognese for the table and it was divine. The squid ink on the Caesar salad special added a nice touch of flavor and it had anchovies. I’ll definitely be back. I hate that I don’t remember anybody’s name because everyone was awesome!

I want to start by saying that Matt was the absolute best and if you can get him to be in charge of your table then you will have the best experience possible.
The restaurant itself is beautiful and you are surrounded by hundreds of whiskey/bourbon bottles as well as barrels. It is very elegant but comfy at the same time.
We had the following menu items:
-Steak Tartare
-Ahi Tartare
-Lobster Roll
-Diver Scallop
-Ibérico Secreto
-Duck Breast
-Roasted Brussel Sprouts
Everything was soooo good!
I will definitely be back!

Fantastic evening. Started Saturday with the Blind Leading the Blind tasting before our dinner reservation. We were lucky enough to get Chris, one of the leaders and the tasting, as our server for the evening, which just added to our delight. Everything about it was top-notch and wonderful. The chef was out speaking with the guests and intermingling at different times. The food was fantastic. All in all it was a very top-notch evening and we will most definitely 100% be back.

I cannot adequately put into words how enjoyable our first time at Watch Hill Proper was. We had a fantastic server, Liz, and everyone in between was also amazing. The restaurant was properly staffed; never got below even half a glass of water, courses were timed impeccably, and the banter we shared between all the staff members elevated the experience even more. We had the duck breast, ahi tuna, cod, boar shank, and Brussels sprouts (not to mention the appetizers), and everyone’s plates were either clean or boxed before we left. I already can’t wait to return. 10/10 experience all around, well done to the entire staff.

Depends on your tolerance for food / drink costs, but a nice place. Atmosphere is great and service was great as well. Steak was nicely cooked and the potatoes were surprisingly good. Disappointed there are zero beer offerings, but my guests said the drinks were very good. They certainly looked nice. Cheesecake was also good. Very thick.

First above all, our server Moe was amazing! She made our night and was hands down one of the best servers I’ve ever had. From the very minute we sat down she was so friendly, smiling, and just happy we were there. The old fashioned’s are the best around. The food was phenomenal as well. The pasta bolognese, ahi tuna, shrimp cocktail, pimento cheese bread, all of it was so good. I’m a foodie and hard to impress but this place did it. I already can’t wait to come back. From the girls at the check in desk, the servers, everyone was so friendly. In the world we live in today, it’s hard to find this atmosphere. Watch Hill is doing it right. Also shoutout to Executive Chef for talking to us asking how our food was. It’s so nice to see the chef who prepares these wonderful meals. Kudos to Watch Hill for running a top notch place.

Our group of 4 had a Thursday night reservation. We had pretty high expectations based on reviews and hype, and this place lived up to it.
The service was friendly and very attentive.
If you love American Whiskey, you won’t be disappointed. We came for the drinks but the food was very impressive.
Great selection of appetizers and entrees. The cocktails we got were delicious. We will be back!

Had an excellent experience here — the food and drinks were outstanding! The atmosphere is truly one of a kind and sets this place apart from anywhere else.
While the bourbon selection is incredible and seemingly endless, they also offer a great variety of other cocktails for those who may not be bourbon fans or are just looking to try something different. Whether you’re here for the drinks, the food, or just the vibe, it’s a spot that never disappoints. Highly recommend!

We had the most amazing time at Watch Hill Proper. From the moment we arrived it was like we were invited into a secret club! The hospitality, the food, the bourbon. Everything was incredible. If I could give 12 stars I would : ) Robin and Chris made our last evening in Louisville pure magic. Thank you so much. We’re already anticipating the next time!!
