Server was great. Food was good. But the queso was pretty terrible. We love queso and look forward to getting it at every Mexican restaurant we go to but queso is usually silky and smooth. This was like a gloppy, mozzarella gravy with a few chilies added to it. I don’t think it was just ours because looking at other pictures, you can see how the queso sticks to the sides of the bowl like a flour roux. We will not be ordering that again.
As others have mentioned, the portions are smaller here and the prices are higher. This is the first Mexican restaurant I’ve been to where I haven’t had to ask for a to go box. Not a big deal but something to keep in mind when choosing where to eat.

1st time stop in and won’t be the last. We had wonderful food and Service! The family enjoyed the afternoon after a two day State Swim Meet to add fuel to my son’s finals. Excited to come back and celebrate!!!

As someone with food allergies, it’s a hesitant mindset to order food online. When I ordered from Phil’s I put in that I was gluten free. Not only did I receive labeled gluten free food, this sweet server/hostess took time out of her day to write me this note. I am extremely grateful for this staff and the food provided. Thank you!!

The place is beautiful with a lot of nice decorations . The service is good too , always making sure you have everything . Food related for me it was not something outstanding I was expecting more flavor , you can eat the same food for less the price in other places.

After seeing so many awesome reviews, I was so disappointed in how terrible the food was. The salsa and queso were bland and the rice was barely edible and crunchy. We barely ate the beef enchiladas and chile relleno. The pork tamale was decent. Besides the food, the service and sever were great!

What a neat Mexican restaurant. Large and spacious and great smells of a culture you can’t wait to sink your teeth into.
I had the chicken fajitas with rice and beans and it was outstanding!! The chips, salsa, and cheese dip were out of this world.

We were on our way to Nashville and decided to stop and try it. Bad decision The food was awful and cold. Our waitress was nice but a tad bit extra. She brought me a free dessert since it was my birthday. The dessert is on the menu for 9.99. If I had ordered that on my own, I would have been more disappointed because it was just as awful as the tacky nachos. These are not nachos. Just chips with meat and melted cheese.

This was the first I have ever ate here and I absolutely loved it. The food was amazing and the portions were generous. The waiter I had was very respectful and helpful. They also asked my table if we wanted complementary ice cream, that I had never heard of before for a restaurant to do.

This comment is only about the location on University in Huntsville. OMG what a great meal and experience. My server, Nyja, made my experience by confirming that my meal selection was a good one. The Cheese Shrimp Fajitas are a 10 out of 10, and I would highly recommend them. Nyja’s service was outstanding, and I would advise management to make her a trainer of the wait staff. It’s a BIG busy restaurant, and the noise level is high, but the food is worth the atmosphere. Nyja is a 10 out of 10, don’t let her go she is making you money.
