Great fresh seafood prepared properly. Accompanied by all the fixing. Had the stuffed broiled Mahi
Definitely worth a try if you are in the area
Friday was a 10 minute wait but large seating area along with staff that keeps things moving along. Live musica Friday & Daturday that was at great sound level for the outdoor seating

We had a great meal tonight at Schooner’s Seafood House. Some of the best seafood we’ve had in a while.
We started with the Crab Poppers which were the special crab cake blend rolled into tight little balls of deep fried delicious. The dipping sauce was a really good touch.
We had Coconut Shrimp with fries and Cole Slaw. Everything was perfectly fried and delicious.
The other entree was the Seafood Combo. Crab Cake, Shrimp, Mahi, Oysters and Scallops. Again all deep fried perfectly.
We will definitely be back next visit to St Augustine.

Let me start by saying the service was phenomenal—truly the highlight of my visit. The staff was attentive and quick, which is perfect for big groups. However, the food was just okay; I found it to be under-seasoned and a bit bland. While it’s a solid choice for a fast meal or a large party, the flavors could definitely be improved.

Meh, not impressed! Another local suggestion that fell MISERABLY FLAT ‍ . Started with the Gator Tail & Onion Rings for appetizers no real complaints there so I thought we were off to a good start. For some reason, they brought our sides, coleslaw, and salad out before our apps arrived which slightly confused me but I went with it. Should’ve known the rest would be off but I was giving them the benefit of the doubt. We moved on to the main course, Broiled Trio for me ( Mahi, Shrimp & Scallops) and Surf & Turf for my companion (Ribeye & Scallops). Mine was every bit of basic with a side of just ok. Nothing really stood out and said dang, this is yum. I mean if I had to choose, I’d say the beets won the plate. As far as my companion well this is where it gets good. Every time we order a steak we always ask, “How good is the cook? ” Usually they’ll come back with a fair answer. This answer was wrong on all accounts. The steak went back three times and they still didn’t get it right. The request was mid-rare. The first time it came out medium. The second time it came out raw, and the third time it came out rare. Needless to say, if you’re a steak connoisseur, they will not get your steak right at all. They ended up taking the steak off the bill and charging us just for the Scallops which alone were $22. If I’m being honest, and I always am, price and value do not match up at all at this location. This is not a place I would return to nor recommend to anyone I know or even don’t know. If this is what St. Augustine has to offer for seafood, I feel bad for y’all. The service was good, but the service can not make up for poor food and lacking value.

First I would like to say that the service was great! Atmosphere as well. But it fell very short after that.. The food was not good. The seafood had no taste. The fried scallops were coated in so much flour that the fried skin of it just fell off leaving the plain scallop. Shrimp nor fish had no taste. They seem to over coat the food before frying or coat it while it was wet.

Definitely a place that the locals go! Family reunion atmosphere! Staff is very friendly. We had the fried shrimp plate and the smothered pork chops. The shrimp and porkchops were very good. Some of the vegetables were not as good as I’ve had other places. The hushpuppies were fantastic and should be offered as an appetizer!! Would definitely eat here again!

This a good ole fashioned fish house. Fried or broiled fish and shrimp dishes. The triple combo (shrimp, scallops, fish) was a huge portion for a very reasonable price. The fish feature (red drum) topped with crab mix was also very good and a huge amount of food. The sides were excellent and had plenty of options. We’ll definitely go back the next time we visit!
