This was our first (and probably last) time trying Yee Dynasty. I saw the low-star reviews but wanted to give them a fair shot since my husband and I just moved to Manchester from Goffstown. We’ve been making it a goal to try new local spots instead of driving back to Goffstown, so this was on our list.

Pickup process:
My husband said the order was ready when he got there, which is always a plus. But as soon as he walked in, he noticed a pretty unpleasant odor, something other reviewers mentioned too. His first thought was, “This is either going to be really bad or surprisingly good.”

Onto the food:
We ordered the J&M combination meals and a small crab rangoon. Not sure if the sauces are homemade, but if they are, they might need a little work (or we got an off batch). The duck sauce was super vinegary with no sweetness, and the hot mustard was way too watery to even try.

The fried rice was just okay, nothing special, but I don’t usually judge a place based on their rice. The lo mein was actually really good though; I prefer the flatter noodles, and these had a nice texture. The boneless spare ribs were also solid.

The spring rolls had a tasty filling, good cabbage flavor and seasoning. The wrapper was undercooked and doughy inside. If they were fried a little longer, they could’ve been great. Chicken fingers were fine but way too much breading for my taste.

My husband got the General Gau’s chicken, and it was disappointing. It wasn’t spicy at all. No Szechuan peppers and it tasted more like orange chicken. He doesn’t like super spicy food, but he said it was overly sweet and kind of bland. The pieces were also really big, so with all that breading and sauce, they got soggy fast.

Lastly, the crab rangoons were a miss. Basically just a mouthful of cream cheese with barely any crab. It’s hard to mess those up since imitation crab is inexpensive, but these just didn’t hit the mark.

I really wanted to like this place and was hoping the bad reviews were exaggerated, but unfortunately, they weren’t. I will say, it might be one of those spots where you have to know what to order since the lo mein and boneless spare ribs were the best parts of our meal.

Ricky, our server was wonderful! He was attentive and very polite. Nice entertainment, karaoke night. Crowd was chill.
Now, on to the food… Peking Ravioli and hot tea were decent, very strong tea. Which I love so no complaints. However, the Gai Poo Lo Mein was disappointing. The meat and seafood seemed a bit off, like nearing the point in which it wouldn’t be good anymore. So I’d pick something different next time.
Overall it wasn’t bad. We’ll be back to try other things on the menu. And for the karaoke for sure.

DONT ORDER THE RICE! Bland is an understatement. It was a combo plate so that’s the reason. The apps are nothing great. Honestly the whole combo plate was bland. Maybe after a few scorpion bowls it taste better.

What can one say about the Yee in Manchester. Food is horrible, cleanliness is terrible, the men’s room will make you want to puke between the overall smell, mold on the ceiling, and often times puke in the sink. Still gets an overall 2 star though because the drinks are a 10 star and this is what they are known for and after 2 drinks here the rest becomes irrelevant lol. What can I say as bad as it is I’ve been coming for the last 30 years, however will note nothing like I did back in my younger year. So for a stiff drink 110% you can’t go wrong but if it’s for the food only then I 110% recommend you go elsewhere. Oh and do not ever make this place a date night destination lol.

Scorpion bowl was a literal pitcher, and the only negative thing was the straws were too long for a pitcher height. It was delicious, just increasingly difficult to drink with the long straw

This is the place you’re looking for if you want the best egg rolls in the state. The food here is fantastic. I’ve never sat down inside the restaurant, which is also a karaoke bar, instead always getting take out or delivery. Each time I’ve received my food it has been cooked to order, fresh, fantastic tasting, and very quick turn around. If ordering for yourself you’ll spend between $12 and $20 before tax and tip. Their cheapest combination dinner plate is $10 and each one has 4 items instead of 3.

Worth the trip. And I’ll update the review once I’ve sat inside the establishment for a night out.

I went in with someone who suggested going after not being there for over 10 years. I wasn’t really impressed. It looks like at night this place would be great atmosphere wise but the food was so bland. I don’t think I’ve ever had Chinese food I didn’t like until now. I don’t know how to describe it, everything was cold. The rice was over-cooked and was SO dark and wet??? It was completely empty yet the host sat someone RIGHT next to us. They weren’t too loud but it was a little distracting. I can tell this place was good back in the day but now I feel like their food is mid at best, I’m sorry.

Got some takeout for dinner just moved to the area absolutely cannot complain about the chicken fried rice the teriyaki beef or the spear ribs but the crab rangoons we got are just straight cream cheese absolutely no crab taste or visible crab taste like warm cream cheese on a soggy thin elastic bagel everything else was good tho just the crab goons need some rework or cancel a order if your out of crab

My wife and I were curious about the Yee Dynasty since we moved to the area about a year ago. We decided to give it a shot for our anniversary dinner. We ordered over the phone for take out. The gentleman on the phone was very receptive and polite. My wife ordered the combination “K” and I ordered a large order of shrimp lo mein. When I got to the restaurant, I received the same polite treatment I did over the phone. That’s where the pleasantries ended. My wife’s order appeared extremely comparable to Alpo or a bad hamburger helper and tasted like the chef somehow forgot what salt or MSG were. Mine tasted very similar. Which was an absolute tragedy because the taste was potentially the only saving grace, due to the fact that my shrimp lo mein was specifically lacking in the actual “lo mein” department. Absolutely pitiful they take people’s hard earned money for this trash.
