There is a reason why the have been in business 70+ years!
Visited for my first time tonight and the food was really good. The staff was friendly and kind. A great experience!
Loved the fried chicken, and the peach cobbler, and the stuffing!
The sweet tea was spot-on! Perfect! Not too sweet, just the right amount!
Definitely coming back with the family.

So this is my second time eating here. Wow what a difference. First experience, food was very good. The fried chicken was good.
But this time I got the country fried steak. 9.25 for one piece. Which I don’t care about the price if it’s good. Although it looked pretty good, it was not good to me. It was putting cubed steak in a pan and covering it with boxed stove top stuffing and a few onions and putting in the oven. It was very bland, no flavor, mushy in texture and chewy. Almost couldn’t eat it. But I did because I hadn’t eaten all day.
$19.98 for meat, 2 sides and a tea.. Not the quality for the cost.

Great home style country cooking. The food is fresh and flavorful but not overwhelming seasoned or salty. I’m a repeat customer and have not had a bad dining experience yet. The staff is nice and welcoming. If you are missing grandma’s cooking or just craving some southern comfort food, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Expensive but excellent Southern Faire. Thr lemon meringue was better than the beautiful Strawberry shortcake. Individually priced and dining room was nice. A change from typical restaurants and chains for my teen

I grew up going to Matthew’s cafeteria. Whenever I am in Tucker I always stop in to eat. The food is amazing, large portions of delicious southern classics. Family owned business, doing it right. My favorite hometown restaurant.

Got the fried chicken. It was so dry, I could barely eat it and the piece of breast chicken had no meat on it. The vegetables are so overcooked they are just mush and can have no vitamins left in them. They must have been out of the can. I mentioned the chicken and vegetables to the management. They offered no compensation what so ever! The food is trash…. And the customer service is terrible!

Saw this place on Diners Drive Ins and Dives and had the opportunity to stop for breakfast while traveling through the he area to Atlanta on business. The food was very good, but basic. We had breakfast and I must say the hot links were . We had biscuits & gravy a pan cakes. This place amhas great atmosphere excellent service and lives up to the famous expectations. If I lived here I would eat where a couple times a week!

Food was ok… service was ok the only issue. That may need to be brought to attention is, let’s call the young men young men. NOT BOY The server kept repeatedly calling my nephew boy and it wasn’t sitting right with a few people. My grandmother asked if we would let it go. Maybe sometimes someone maybe unaware… that’s what we will go with. But we still left a good tip but here’s another good tip young man sounds alot more intelligent and respectful.
