Absolutely excellent steakhouse, well worth a visit
Beautiful decor and charm, huge restaurant with several rooms and menu focused on steaks. Elk medallions also served but stayed away as those were previously frozen whereas all beef is maintained as non frozen.
Our steaks were perfectly prepared (12 oz Filet Minions) rare and medium-rare came perfectly cooked to order.

Nice wine list with number of “affordable” red wines, (i.e. on my budget in the $40-$60 range, though only found one “local” wine, i.e. from within Arizona (Wilcox area), most were from California. Wish they served more Arizona wines!

Lower rating on Atmosphere only because on a magnificent sunny January day in Arizona some outside Seating would be very welcome, that did not exist here. But plenty of old steakhouse charm!

This historic steak house has high quality steak in the k4 ribeye. Super tender and delicious. We enjoyed that, cocktail shrimps and seabass steak. Service was excellent and would recommend this place. The atmosphere has a classic western feel.

Had a culinary mind blown moment the whole time I was eating each bite. Very elegant , communication, glass of water was never empty, table touch was on point. Suggestive selling on point. We will return again .

It had been many years since we ate here last and what a fantastic experience. Dawn was our server and she was just a gem, timing things perfectly and conversing in a very genuine delightful way. I ordered the K4 ribeye and it was perfect.. My wife had the salmon and it was equally delicious .. even the iced tea was very tasty and you could tell it was freshly made. It was my wife’s birthday and they gave us a massive slice of cheesecake that also knocked it out of the park. I have to say I was very skeptical walking in here, but boy were we shown that we waited too long to come back . We absolutely loved it. If this is how it always is, then this will shoot into the top three steakhouses in the valley in our opinion, with a price point close to being only half of those other places. Just great.

I have enjoyed coming to the stockyards steakhouse for many decades. They do steak right! I love the history of this place and remember coming to this part of town in the ’70s when there were still cattle here. I have never been disappointed by their steaks or anything else here. This is a place you can take a date, or bring your kids.

Attended an event for our organization in the private dinning room. The service was great, very polite, and helpful. The restaurant is a traditional steak house so they will cook your steak medium temperature unless you ask otherwise. The steak was just ok. The steak was barely seasoned but I’ve had better. The sides were good and tasty. However, I probably would not make this a go to spot in my lists of steakhouses in the Valley.

Back for Round Two!

Two weeks in Phoenix and I couldn’t resist returning.

This time we got the Chateaubriand for two.

The salad was delicious.

Ordered the Old Fashioned & Still Superb.

The Beef Tenderloin was cooked to medium, but was a little rare in the middle. Still melt in your mouth superb steak. I tried it with each sauce and the creamed horseradish was the best. This didn’t need any sauce and was perfect. The Parmesan potatoes were good. The Sautéed Button Mushrooms were perfect. The Brussel sprouts were good.

Service was good.

Looking for a Steak House and the Stockyards Restaurant sounded perfect.

Ordered the Old Fashioned with Stockyards Bourbon by Outlaw Whiskey. Perfect Compliment with the steak.

The Cornbread was good and the bread just ok.

Went with the Baseball Sirloin with salad & garlic whipped potatoes. The steak was lean and cooked medium perfectly. The whipped potatoes were fluffy and paired perfectly with the sirloin. Lean & tender was excellent. The salad was fresh and delicious.

The Crem Brûlée was absolutely phenomenal end to the meal.

The service was superb. Loved the old style steak house. Would definitely recommend and return.

The K4 Ranch steak was incredibly juicy, almost like tasting chicken soup, unbelievable!
The vibe and servers are super chill, not fancy at all, which makes dining here so comfortable. The crab cakes were also delicious!
Make sure to reserve a table, it gets busy on weekend nights!

Our first time to visit Phoenix and were told to try The Stockyards. We enjoyed an amazing meal. Ron was our server, and he has been at The Stockyards for 20 years. He absolutely knows the menu and helped us make some great selections. We tried the homemade onion rings for an appetizer and they were delicious. For our entree, we had the 5 oz filet with a baked potato. The second entree was the K-2 14oz filet with Parmesan potatoes and asparagus.

The atmosphere was very inviting and traditional. Old school steakhouse for sure!

Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal experience at The Stockyards!

Fantastic!!!!!

Celebrated a birthday here and loved the old photos of Phoenix, the building-inside has comfortable chairs and booths. The decor is top-notch for a living history, museum type setting. Walk into the saloon, and be blown away by the murals on the wall.

Our service was top-notch. Our waitress Alice, to all of the servers were friendly and attentive. We went early in the evening, which was the perfect time to go.
It wasn’t busy then, but by the time we left, there wasn’t an empty table to be found. And that was a Friday night.

Chilean Seabass, with a lobster tail was a hit!!! The sides of mashed potatoes and asparagus were perfect. The other meal we had, was a large ribeye that was perfectly cooked and seasoned.

Birthday dessert was a delicious sour cream cheesecake with berries/sauce.

This was a delightful experience. From the top notch service to the outstanding history preserved through photos and pictures on the walls we were impressed, and we can’t wait to bring more of our family here to try this unique place.
