Stopped by Los Victor’s Mexican Food (California Style #4) while driving toward White Sands National Park because we needed EV charging—and what a lucky stop. The tacos were so good they instantly woke me up and wiped away the road-trip fatigue.

I stayed in this town for one night while driving to the White Sand NP and used KOA camp ground; for food first I tried walking to a restaurant, but too many loose dogs around people’s yards made me nervous. I drove instead, and came to this place (Los Victor’s); picked up some food, then returned to my camping spot and enjoyed my simple dinner. Lovely restaurant and staff.

I’ll leave it to everyone’s discretion, but came in Sunday morning for some food and as I was ordering there were roaches walking on the counter. The guy taking our order just casually knocked it off with his hand and stepped on it. Unfortunate that the owner from restaurant like these don’t keep it clean. I’m also leaving a picture of the restaurant because I don’t want them to comment back saying something like “wrong restaurant” or something. Just be careful where you eat people.

1⭐️ — Absolutely unacceptable experience
Last night my husband and I drove 30 miles to this location specifically because it was listed as open until midnight on their website, Google, Yelp, and every platform available. I was having a severe anxiety episode, and the drive itself was meant to help calm things, instead, this turned into an incredibly stressful and upsetting experience.
We placed and paid for our order online before arriving to make things easier for everyone. When we pulled in, the OPEN sign was on, the building and parking lot were fully lit, and an employee wearing a headset looked directly at us. We waited at the drive-thru speaker for over 5 minutes with no response.
When we slowly pulled forward, the lights were suddenly shut off. The employee exited the building, got into his truck, and sped away. We followed to the neighboring Circle K, literally shared a parking lot, only to ask about our already-paid order. When shown the confirmation, he repeatedly said things like “I’m closed,” “That’s tomorrow,” and “No refunds, come back tomorrow, for food” while being extremely rude and dismissive.
Let me be very clear:
– Money was taken
– Food was never made or given
– A refund was refused
– Hours posted online were completely inaccurate
– No apology, no empathy, no attempt to fix the issue
Been trying to call restaurant since they reopened this morning, no answer, just ringing.
This is not a small mistake. This is taking customers’ money, refusing service, and refusing refunds while advertising false business hours. It is shockingly unprofessional and unacceptable.
Save yourself the time, gas, and stress. I should have listened to the low reviews, now I understand why they exist.

Always on our road trips we always find the best little gems to eat. And this place is totally one of them, the food was absolutely delicious. There’s not a lot of places that serve caldo de res soup on weekdays. So if your traveling interstate 10 in Lordesbough NM stop by.

Good place for a bargain meal, simple menu but all the typical options, tacos burritos, chimichangas, etc. self serve the chips and sauces.

We picked up 2 burritos in the drive through yoday( Sunday). I got pollo and the husband got carne asada. Wow!!! Superb!!! We are very impressed with the quality! Thank you so much!!

Excellent tacos. The food is authentic. Definitely worth trying out if you’re looking for a meal during a road trip.
