The California bowl with Grilled Shrimp was surprisingly good for fast food. The shrimp were actually Grilled and a good size, not the usually whimpy size fast food offers. We were put off by how sticky and dirty the tables were, no amount of napkins or wet wipes could clean them.

I pickup a lot of DoorDash orders from this place, so I figured I might as well try it out since others liked it. Big mistake. I went thecsafe route and ordered what I know from ordering at other Mexican restaurants – the ‘3 street tacos’. However, I was ordering what is called a ‘street Taco plate with Carnitas.’ It was not listed with ingredients on the menu board, only with a splashy picture and price. When I ordered I asked if I could sub other meats, and the cashier stated I could mix-n-match, so I did, but he failed to advise me that it was more expensive than doing just all 3 carnitas. I was charged an extra dollar for chicken and steak. It was already $1.50 more than the regular 3 street Taco menu item that stated could also be mixed and matched. Plus, there was no ingredient listing for the ‘plate’, and I was assuming the ingredients would be exactly the same as street tacos I’ve had at all other restaurants in that it’s just meat, onions, and cilantro, but these had a guacamole paste on the shells which I didn’t see in the picture, and as such gave the tacos a bad flavoring since I don’t like guacamole, but at least all the other ingredients made it tolerable. Speaking of the meat, however, none of it was fresh – not the pork, chicken, or steak, as I got one of each! The meat was tough, especially the steak, and both looked and tasted like it had been setting under a hot lamp for hours being dried out!!

When this place bottoms out, they don’t know how to recover. Been waiting 30 mins for an online order that I was told was being worked on when I walked in….30 MINS AGO!!! When someone asks status, give an honest answer and then provide a refund or comp the meal. RIDICULOUS!!!!

Have been to Rubio’s in Orange county area and have loved the flavors and portions provided. Happy to find this Clovis location to be just as good! Haven’t been able to describe others in Fresno like that . Personal & friendly customer service. Was there for the Tuesday Specials great deal! Had the shrimp delicious.

First time here. Ordered the chicken tacos. Hands down the best chicken tacos I have ever had. The sauce they use is so good. Chicken was cooked perfectly with the perfect amount of char. Cheese cooked into the shell was a nice touch. Overall I highly recommend you try it. I know I will be back soon.
