They recently catered my grandson’s wedding rehearsal dinner, and the food was amazing — everyone loved it! I can also vouch for dining at Lino’s over the years; the food, service, and atmosphere have always been top-notch. We’ve had nothing but great experiences there.
The jazz band that was playing when I was there, was terrific.
Five stars? I give you six if I could. Maybe seven. I start making up stars just for them.
From the moment we walk in, I say to myself, “This… this is amore.” The smell of the pizza floats through the air like it owns the place. You don’t even need the menu. You just close your eyes and say, “Lino, my friend. Feed me.”
We order the pizza. The crust? Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, like it grew up with good manners. The sauce? Sweet, tangy, perfectly balanced. Not too much, not too little. Just right. The cheese? It stretches like it is trying to escape the plate and hug you.
And then… the salad… Now listen. They put Italian sausage in the salad. Yes. Sausage. In. The. Salad. At first I look at it and I say, “Lino… what are we doing here?” I am suspicious. I am concerned. I am slightly confused.
But then I take one bite. Mamma Mia. It is their specialty, and now I understand why. The sausage is savory and warm, the greens are fresh and crisp, the dressing ties it all together like a beautiful Italian wedding. It sounds wild. It feels questionable. It tastes like absolute perfection. I would write an apology letter to that salad for ever doubting it.
Everything was excellent. Very tasty. So tasty I briefly considered clapping after each bite.
If you love pizza. If you love bold moves that actually pay off. If you love leaving a restaurant slightly happier than when you walked in, you go to Lino’s.
Five stars. Bellissimo.
* As a diabetic, I ordered the ‘sugar free” ice cream for dessert. First issue, looked . like it came from a school cafeteria in a little 4 oz cup. Then I was taken back when Megan asked if I wanted a spoon with it. The ice cream was good but I wasn’t sure if was sugar free and @ $4.25 for 4 oz, hmmmm. Upon testing my sugar level, I pretty much confirmed it, my level was 25 points higher than normal. In closing, I intend to go back for the food, but not the over priced ice cream.
Not only did I get wonderful service, the food was delicious enough to make me want to tell others.
I got the Bianca Medium pizza which has Alfredo sauce, mushrooms and plenty of cheese. The taste was garlicky and got me thinking a lot about it on the way home.
The gnocchi was tasty with the perfect texture. Bread looked like it came out of a picture. Spumoni was a pleasant surprise. The salad was dressed well.
I have got to come back, even though I’m not from the area.
Bianca pizza was great, Veal was dry and the chicken alla Francia was dry. Wings with spicy BBQ came out as buffalo sauce…the sharing bowl of salad was great as was the Gelato
