What I appreciated most was the setting. I personally don’t enjoy restaurants that are directly on busy streets or squeezed into tight spaces. Here, it felt almost like a private area in the middle of Paris, with the beautiful terrace and the view of the Eiffel Tower, which makes the atmosphere very special.
The garçon who served us was excellent. He was always friendly, had a smile on his face, and was very attentive in a natural way. I especially appreciated that he kept subtle eye contact from time to time, which meant we never had to try to get his attention — he was simply aware and present. That made the service feel very comfortable.
The price–quality ratio was good, the food was very good, and the portion sizes were ideal.
The only thing that felt a bit unusual to me was the manager, I believe. At times he seemed to look at guests in a slightly uncomfortable way and occasionally pointed toward tables while speaking with the staff. For a restaurant of this level and atmosphere, it felt a little out of place.
Overall, however, it was a very enjoyable experience, and the location together with the view makes it a very special place in Paris.
It’s definitely on the expensive side (around €100 per person), but you’re paying for the whole experience—ambiance, service, and presentation.
As for the food:
• Artichoke salad (entrée) – I honestly didn’t quite get it; beautifully presented but not very convincing flavor-wise.
• Filet de bœuf – Very nice, tender, and perfectly cooked
• Cocktails – Absolutely outstanding. Elegant, creative, and balanced—easily one of the highlights of the evening.
Overall, Monsieur Bleu is a place to go for the experience: chic design, great drinks, and that Parisian magic. Perfect for a date night or a classy evening out.
The view is breathtaking great for pictures.
When I visit Paris again I will definitely be back to visit Monsieur BLEU.
I booked this restaurant weeks in advance because it advertised views of the Eiffel Tower and requested a table with a view for my 21st birthday. The view was the main reason we chose this restaurant.
Despite this, we were seated in a far corner with no view at all. When I politely asked to move, the hostess insisted there was no availability, even though we walked past several tables with the requested view. There was also no acknowledgement that this was a milestone birthday.
Service was disappointing throughout. The waiter didn’t ask how I wanted my €49 steak cooked — I had to specify — and later returned to ask what we had ordered. Our starter and side were forgotten, and only the mains arrived.
My steak came extremely well done and chewy. Although it was remade correctly and came with extra fries and sauce, even cooked how I liked it, it was definitely not worth €49. The manager did remove two very overpriced cocktails from the bill as an apology.
While I appreciate the discount, it didn’t make up for what was meant to be a special 21st birthday dinner. Overall, the experience did not live up to the price or reputation, and I left feeling very disappointed.
We ordered the sea bass and pork belly entrées, both beautifully plated and full of flavor. The mashed potatoes were a standout; creamy, rich, and unforgettable. While the prices are on the steeper side, the quality of the food and the overall experience make it well worth it.
Service was attentive and professional, rounding out a memorable dining experience. If you’re looking to treat yourself to a refined meal in a breathtaking setting, Monsieur Bleu delivers.
