My first time coming to this place and I hope they get tons of customers because this place is one of the best spots in East LA! Handmade tortillas, gorditas and they use their own recipes. Very traditional cooking like homemade food. The chicharron gordita was my favorite with the green salsa (nonspicy) if you are like me that don’t eat spicy foods. I can’t wait to come back again.

My family and I were excited to try the barbacoa at this place! We drove an hour to do so. The barboca was delicious. However, the service was terrible and ruined the positive idea of the place. My mother’s diet is very limited due to health issues, so we made sure to be clear about how her food should be prepared. The staff did not fulfill our order as requested and did not offer to remake the food as it was ordered. We ended up paying for the wrong order and had to go to another place so mom could eat. I would not recommend this place because of that. The lady serving was not friendly or customer service centrict. It’s a shame since their barbacoa is so good
Edit: I have been back multiple times. Service has improved! Food is still delicious

Food was great, we order mixiotes. But customer service sucks!!! We had to wait so they will take our drinks orders. When we order the lady look like is that all, I said yes, and she stood there listening to our conversation, so I request to start our order, she did left but with a bad attitude. We got our order and when a ask for extra plates she brought me a bowl when we were eating tacos from the mixiotes, hello!!! Bowls??? When we finally finished, both workers decided to eat at the same time, and they couldn’t bring the check. They ask us to wait. They were done eating but they were still discussing their personal life. We just felt completely uncomfortable. The one star is for having the worst customer service I ever had, and I had bad experience at the fast food but here can soda $2.95, bottle soda $3.95, and so on. No people at the restaurant since the moment we enter to the moment we left.

Terrible experience all around. Tables were sticky, parking was metered, and service was terrible. We got there at 5. The waiter had a really bad attitude and would roll his eyes everytime we asked him a question. We were told that we had to order and eat fast because they close at 6. When we asked if it would be enough time to order food and eat, the woman behind the counter was rude as well. We chose to leave after being there for 10 minutes and only ordering a pulque. Their pulque sucked just like customer service. Dont waste your time.

This is real mexican food. Home made. Everything fresh, hot, delicious, quality food. The only thing is that 1 year ago they started serving less food on the plate. I dont know if owner changed or the day it happened there were different workers.

Good food bad service. Me and my wife order two different plates and they totally forgot about our second order. I finished my burrito. We sat their waiting for another 30min and noticed they had already finished makin some one elses burrito before out qusadilla. Horrible service. So i got to eat nd my kids got to eat nd they totally forgot about our other order just to serve other that got their after us. I eventually just told the cashier to cancel the order and the we where verry upset for having us wait so long for a quesadilla combo.

Was,looking for a place that sells tlacoyos. Found on Google so I decided to give a try. Disappointment!!!! Tlacoyos are NOT authentic at all. Gorditas were dry n meat was chewy. Asada meat had lot of grease n with lot of condimenr. Barbacoa was ok nothing special. Borrego de oro it’s better. The only great thing was their red n green salsas….they are delicious. Service polite n quick.
