Service was good. Food presented nicely. Food itself was mostly just extremely salty. Otherwise very bland, almost flavorless. I will say that the rice and beans were tasty. The Pepsi was perfect. The Beef Taco on my large combo was not edible. Just a gooey mess. The Tamale had some decent masa but everything else seemed, umm, off? I didn’t finish because it wasn’t very good.
But we both became ill. Clearly from the food we ate here. Maybe it was the massive amounts of salt? Or just that it was spoiled. Sad face.
Two tables near us that sat down afterward had received and finished their food before we got ours. Our waitress told us a few times our food would be ready soon. After finishing 3 bowls of chips our food finally arrived however it was cold. It appeared that it had been sitting for a long time.
Our waitress did not apologize for the cold plates. She did take the plates one we mentioned they were cold and when she brought them back they were sizzling hot but the guacamole and sour cream were hot.
Once we started eating we barely saw our waitress. We had to flag down someone to refill my water and she arrived when we were paying for our meals at the end….
I understand that restaurants get busy but she didn’t seem apologetic or sympathetic to the fact that we had to ask for service. I would probably not return here because the service.
What really hurt the experience was the service. It took a long time for our waitress to first come to our table, and we barely saw her after that. We had to wait for drink refills and felt like we were looking around for help most of the meal. That made it hard to fully enjoy our time there.
Because of that, it’ll probably be a while before we go back.
It’s a super pleasant place for a lunch meeting, but the real meeting is between your face and the shredded pork tacos (al pastor). Juicy, flavorful, and dangerously easy to “accidentally” consume mass quantities.
Also: the chips and salsa deserve their own award. The chips are crisp and heroic, and the salsa is the kind of delicious that makes you keep dipping and dipping….
Highly recommend. Come hungry. Leave happy.
I asked another hostess (who was wonderful) for the general manager on duty and I was shocked and disgusted that it was the same exact employee that just caused this scene. When I spoke to the lady I had to explain to her that these people live in a nursing home and coming out to eat at a place like this is a real treat and getting ready and in the wheelchair is a lot fore these people.
Going out to a restaurant for these people is a huge experience for them and it was very disappointing interaction.
The female manager and a I quote stated “they are lucky we aren’t busy! We don’t take reservations and we already have a party that we’re lucky to serve them”
This person is so unprofessional and she does not understand that these people aren’t to accommodate her! They barely have money and chose to spend it here. AWFUL. the owner needs to be aware of this situation and train the general manager on common manners. 2/19/26
