Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Food was delicious. Service and atmosphere…young girls goofing off more than working. Long line of customers. Had to wait for food, was told we had to wait for pie, so we declined, had to wait at least 5 minutes for food anyways. If all the workers were working, probably would not have been the long line……

Hi. My family and I have been coming to this Whataburger since 2016 on our trips down to FL which we usually do twice a year. Always had great service until today, the cashier had the worst attitude!!. We work in the hospitality industry and understand hard shifts happen but you never take that out on a customer. As I said, we pass through here and was unaware of the free kids meal when you order a whatameal and when my bf pointed it out to me the cashiers whole demeanor changed. She was rude, scoffed at us and rolled her eyes. We thought that was extremely rude and unprofessional. When she brought our food out to us she asked if we wanted any ketchup and when we said yes she throws it down right in front of us and says “that good enough!?”. I don’t know what me and my family did to make her so rude to us but we won’t be coming back. That left a horrid taste in our mouth. We will either go to the one in Alabaster or Montgomery. The cashiers name was Monica V. She was polite to everyone else. Even my children asked us what was that ladies problem?

Let me just say…Amazing! I absolutely love stopping at this Whataburger. You get service with a smile and I’ve always got what I order. Now one thing I sure would like to see on the menu is the guacamole burger and jalapeno burger combined as one. The onion rings were delicious. I really like the spicy ketchup. The restaurant was clean. There is semi-parking in the lot next to them.

My family stopped off to get food after a vacation and it took way too long. Food wasn’t even made correctly and they were out of small patties, onion rings, sweet tea, and probably more. They told me that they were giving me fries instead of the onion rings I had ordered which I said is fine as I wanted to leave. But to no surprise, the employees kept walking past me like I didn’t exist. It took 15 minutes or more for them to notice me and get me the fries they told me they would give me. To top it off the place was filthy and undermanned.

This has to be an anomaly. We stopped on way back from a trip. Whataburger is usually hands down quality for a burger stop. Yesterday they had a super messy dining area, out of small patties for a kids meal. No onion rings available even after my son ordered. They offered him fries instead after and then forgot all about him. Meanwhile the drive thru and order counter became swamped with people. No apology was offered and staff seemed not to be concerned. Just feedback and coaching opportunity here. I’ve worked in food. I get it but this was just super awful and seemed abnormal to us.

These are really good burgers. The drive-thru was a little slow, and the atmosphere was as good as it gets in the inside of my car, but the meal was the right stuff at the right time. You can’t go wrong with Whataburger!

This was a first time going to a whataburger. It was really good, the way 5 guys is really good. Everything says whataburger! I love that they have ketchup cups instead of packs, it’s nifty the way cfa ketchup is special. They also have a spicy ketchup. This particular location was so clean! No employees standing around on phones, or just hanging out. Multiple times they came to sweep and wipe tables off. I asked for mayo and while I waited, 3 more employees asked if I was being helped. The only odd thing is why a single burger combo (10.38) costs more than a double burger combo (10.19)?

Fantastic! A definite must stop. We have been to a lot of Whataburger’s through the years but this is the closest to what the Texas tradition is all about. Clean, I mean super CLEAN! The perfect 100 Health Score as you walk in says it all. You know the menu so we won’t waste your time there. Clean parking lots, friendly greeting, clean counters/kitchen, fast service, and clean seating. Catching the theme here? Oh yeah, and clean bathrooms. Food could have been marginal with how well this place is run. But it is most definitely not. Hats off to this well oiled machine. Keep up the great work!
