The goat cheese grits were creamy and delicious. The breading on the fried chicken was well seasoned, but not a ton of flavor in the chicken itself. All staff members we interacted with were friendly, and food came out extremely fast.

The vibes are cozy—a unique blend of modern, industrial, and rustic with tasteful bee and honey motifs.

First I’d like to say Matthew was amazing, even while hosting and serving at the same time he was attentive and kind and not in a hurry to rush us. The food was great too although I wouldn’t get Texas toast again (too much butter for my liking) the biscuits I saw around the restaurant looked so good. I really enjoyed the grits but all together the meal was satisfying. The location is good as well although super busy during peak hours, reserve a table before you go if you can. It also had a hallway to a neat little shopping center that is definitely worth checking out. It’s a cute little place that just feels nice in general.

We are on our honeymoon and driving 6 hours home. I decided we would veer off the path an hour to try this place out as who knows how long it will be before we are in this area again. I’ve heard great things about this place! I did a little research online and was asked to make a reservation, and to download an app. When I downloaded the app I put in we are celebrating our honeymoon. I received a notification that we would receive a free pint glass. ( no mention of this nor did we get this glass ) Also read that parking was free. We arrived at 12:00 and all parking was full. The meter would not accept a card from either of our bank accounts. We scrounged up enough quarters to buy us 55 minutes and crossed our fingers.
When we entered the establishment we were not greeted by the hostess. I went up and gave our information and we were immediately seated. Our server was Matthew. And let me tell you he was phenomenal! Definitely had a servants heart. He took very good care of us. Now onto the food what brought us to this location was the chicken and waffles with the peach compote. They said they were out of peach compote until Wednesday … disappointing but that’s ok. My husband ordered the meatloaf , Brussels, and rosemary potato’s. Everything he had was absolutely amazing ! We were impressed. I ordered the bee dusted chicken with gravy , grits , and rosemary potato’s. Mine was phenomenal as well except for the chicken. It had no special seasoning taste to us. Just tasted like very basic fried chicken. So I give it all 4/5 stars.
I will say we were dressed pretty bummy as we are riding home all day. Had I known how nice of an establishment this was. We definitely would have dressed a little bit nicer. We felt like a sore thumb.

I took my work team out to this place not knowing what to expect being that we were from Georgia. Out of the six people that were with me. Everyone’s order was a 10 out of 10. Shrimp and grits, blackened mahi mahi every single thing we ordered even the fried pickles were delicious. If you are in the Chattanooga area you must make this your first stop.

We love Tupelo Honey and look forward to visiting when we are in town! We’ve ordered the fried green tomatoes with grits, chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, Asheville hot chicken and ranch melt with brussels sprouts and the farmhouse breakfast platter. They happily accommodated our special requests ie extra sausage gravy. This restaurant is definitely how we picture southern cuisine and hospitality. We highly recommend that you check it out!

The fresh biscuits with butter and jam were probably my favorite thing. The pimento cheese dip was great too, especially with that honey bee dust on the chips. My fried chicken had perfectly crispy skin and was really good with the bee dust, and the cheese grits were super creamy. The pork was tasty in most spots, but a little overcooked in others. Mac and cheese had a nice rich flavor. Overall, a fun Southern meal to wrap up the day!

We arrived on opening and originally thought our food took a while to prepare but with good reason! Our waitress was so sweet and so attentive. The food was very fresh and delicious! Every dish was well seasoned, clean tasting and well presented. The shrimp and grits were so tasty. So was the garden omelet, chicken n waffles, pancakes and kids grilled chicken. Highly recommend eating here.

We decided last minute to try Tupelo Honey. We couldn’t find a parking spot anywhere close by so we left to drive around the block and try one last time. Luck was on our side! A car had just pulled out. We walked into a very warm and welcoming environment. Our server Dino met us immediately and took our drink order. My husband ordered one dozen eggs over easy! It gave our server and the kitchen a good laugh. I had the sweet and spicy chicken and waffle. It was all superb! The environment, the service, the food, the presentation, and especially DINO!
We will definitely be back next time we are in town. Highly recommend! 10 out of 10!

The restaurant was nice, as you can see in the brief video clip. We didn’t have to wait long for someone to seat us. Our food took a little longer because I got bone in chicken which takes a little longer to cook. The Mac & cheese was delicious & the chicken was pretty good, ( it had a hint of sweetness which I didn’t mind), but it could have used more seasoning. I don’t like that fact that the chicken entrees only came with one side & the other items came with two. The meatloaf came with two sides which one we chose was the Mac also, and the Caesar salad was the other. The meatloaf looked like a big meat ball & I was told tasted like it had bbq sauce & Worcestershire sauce on it. I guess the fancy did not fancy the taste of southern cooking as the name said.
The glasses were cute & the overall ambiance was nice. I personally like flavor so it didn’t live up to the southern kitchen in the name for us. It’s a nice place if you want to try some place new, but if you’re really hungry go with what you know because my guy left hungry & he usually finishes his plate.
