Was a nice little find just off the main drag of canal street, the service was impeccable, the beignets were so delicious! And luckily we got the 2 for 1 Bloody Mary and I was not disappointed, we had an outside dining experience and was pleasantly impressed by the wait staff attending to our needs as if we were dining inside, this is a nice little place to visit and enjoy a quaint little meal without the hustle and bustle. Strongest recommendations.

Was recommended this restaurant during my visit by a local and super happy that I decided to go. The Bloody Mary was the best I’ve ever tasted and the crawfish egg rolls are a must! I tried also tried the alligator sausage po boy and it was delicious as well! Asked for a side of the remoulade sauce and it took the po boy to another level! Would highly recommend this place!

Daisy Dukes Cafe is a must-stop spot in New Orleans if you’re craving bold, classic flavors. I ordered the gator bites with Cajun fries, and they were perfectly seasoned, crispy, and full of flavor without being overwhelming. My partner had the Cajun chicken pasta, which was rich, creamy, and packed with just the right amount of spice. Every bite tasted fresh and well thought out, and you can tell they don’t cut corners on flavor. It’s the kind of place you’d happily recommend to anyone visiting the city because the food truly delivers.

We had a fantastic brunch here with a party of eight. The most impressive thing was that with everyone ordering different meals and sides, there wasn’t a single complaint about the food—it was all delicious! A fun FYI: they make their own hot sauce, which is a great touch. The only minor miss was the lemonade, which didn’t taste quite right. Will definitely be back!

Honestly. I failed to realize there’s Daisy Dukes Cafe vs. Daisy Dukes FQ. The last time I was here in 2019, I went to the FQ location.
This location I wasn’t impressed with at all. The food was pretty mediocre..at best. I ordered a shrimp po boy + a side or jambalaya. The jambalaya was completely dry and lacked flavor. The po boy was just mediocre/bland.
The service was incredible. The waitress was very attentive and checked on me throughout. Which is great since I was dining solo.
The environment is small and intimate. But not as if you’re sitting on top of one another. The vibes were blah, when I go to restaurants like this I expect some kind of background music. I mean I am in Nawlins. They were playing something, but it was playing VERY low.
Oh, and I’m not sure why, but I ordered a Daisy Old Fashion (as pictured) and it was such a small pour?
5/10

THE CHICKEN AND WAFFLES WAS SOOOO GOOD. Try the sauce. Try. It. We bought 3 bottles of that hot sauce. That on top of the chicken was so freaking delicious. The chicken was soooo crispy and with the waffles my gosh. I’m still dreaming about it. Definitely come here, I regret not going more than once. I rlly do wish we tried the beignets and grits, but just know the chicken and waffles is a astounding 10/10!!!

We came from Oregon & as luck would have it we were staying literally, next door. We almost passed it as it was packed w/ people but plenty of outside seats available & problem solved -it was a chilly day but being the menopause queen that I am we really enjoyed it. The 1st stop: our breakfast & this is NOT an exaggeration- our food was in front of us with 5 minutes or less. It was all cooked perfectly & fresh. It was. Surprise to both my husband & I. The breakfast for hubby was the normal breakfast platter and it was all wonderful. The biscuits were soft fluffy and absolutely worth every bite. I ordered B&G w/ a side of sausage. This is my only negative critic: when I ordered a side I was hoping for 2 patties ON THE SIDE of the plate & it came diced up on top the b&G. This was hard for me due to ocd & not being able to tolerate my food being combined. Yes it’s a big thing for some. The meal itself~ was so scrumptious I took the diced off, hubby doesn’t GAF & I took his whole patty. Issue solved. Now, we decide to come back for dinner bc of the quality & service of the first. Being from the Pnw I had never tried Alligator so that was our appetizer. Hubby ordered the cajun seafood pasta & got to tell you THAT ROCKED! Scrumptious doesn’t even begin to describe it as it had shrimp and crawfish throughout it. It was a surprise as neither one of us are big on green pepper, but this flavor was so deep and complex that it was perfection It tasted better cold the next day in my opinion . My dinner consisted of grilled salmon, green beens, Mac n cheese plus a side salad as one of the sides. I had ordered blue cheese dressing and what came was NOT what I tasted blue cheese to be. It didn’t get eaten. The salmon had a hard sear on one side & velvety smooth everywhere else. It wasn’t the best I be had but it wasn’t too far down the list. The green beans had smack flavor but a bit too Al dente for me. The alligator? Well, I had it. It was the texture for me. Doesn’t “shred” like chicken & it was a chew @ break apart. It lacked anyway tual flavor besides the light batter. I didn’t find it worth the chew or the calories myself so it was tossed at the hotel. The staff were a bright spot. Friendly and attentive.

The food was amazing!!! The only downside I guess was that they didn’t have seafood for their gumbo but I don’t eat shellfish so it was perfect. Will definitely be coming back.

I went to DDC for a late lunch and tried their signature oysters and blackened fish. I loved my meal. The portions are perfect and didnt feel stuffed after. My wife had the jambalaya and said the chicken was a little dry. Overall I would eat here again on my next trip to New Orleans.
