I absolutely recommend SeeSushi! First of all, it is hidden away in the stunning Ferstel Passage. Secondly, the quality and presentation of the food was exquisite. As a vegetarian who doesn’t like fish, I usually feel out of place at sushi restaurants, and I was quite skeptical. How wrong I was! Here, the chef offered to make a full vegetarian omakase for me, including items that are not even on the menu. In fact, as we were the only customers at the time, the chef tailor-made ALL omakase sets to individual requests. So please, maybe don’t expect this service at rush hours, but they certainly proved that they can cater even to non-fish eaters without any compromises. And lastly, the service was so genuine I nearly forgot I was in Vienna. As the Viennese waiters can be quite cold and keep their appearances as brief as possible, the service here felt homely and considerate. Enough of my experience—go and see SeeSushi for yourself! 🙂

We went for a Wednesday date night dinner and it was the perfect little way to celebrate a midweek evening. The food was impeccable and the staff complimented the food by being the friendliest people I have seen in a long time.
I would highly recommend if you would like to enjoy some good sushi.

Japanese cuisine can be enjoyed on a whole new level at the unique Viennese outlet of SeeSushi in the historic Ferstel Passage. SeeSushi has long made a name for itself at Strobl am Wolfgangsee & luckily can also be enjoyed in Austria’s capital. The concept is based on small plates from their signature sushi rolls, over special small plates, to nigiri, sashimi, rolls, maki & desserts – each plate is crafted with care. We enjoyed the omakase – an unforgettable dining experience with the best plates selected by the chef accompanied with perfectly paired wines, sake and non-alcoholic drinks. Markus and his lovely team are truly passionate and experts in their cuisine and make sure you have the best dinner. Really can recommend SeeSushi for a night to remember (will be back for their lunch too and hopefully visit their restaurants in Strobl one day!)

Absolutely amazing food. Top quality, locally sourced (all fish are at a max 1.5 hours drive away from the location), beautiful presentation! Can only recommend the omakase.
Only drawback is the small size of the restaurant. If that doesn’t bother you, make sure to come by!

Absolutely outstanding sushi experience in Vienna! Seesushi is without a doubt one of the best sushi spots in Vienna. The quality of the fish is exceptional – incredibly fresh, perfectly cut, and full of flavor. You can truly taste the craftsmanship and passion behind every single dish.
The menu is beautifully curated, combining classic sushi excellence with creative, modern touches. Every bite feels thoughtful and balanced, without ever being overcomplicated.
The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, making it perfect for both a special evening and a casual high-quality dinner. The service deserves special mention: attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm, without being intrusive.
If you appreciate sushi at the highest level and value quality over gimmicks, Seesushi is an absolute must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back again and again.
I’ve been to this place several times now for lunch and dinner, and my wife absolutely loves it! Thank you, guys.

Delicious food, great service in beautiful surroundings. The omakase included a wonderful selection at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended if you’re looking for something a bit more special than your typical sushi restaurant.

Absolute stunning experience. We had the chef’s selection for two so each course was a delicious surprise. The edamame starter added a nice sesame twist to the edamame. Fish was fresh with great taste combinations. Similarly the desert was outstanding.
