Food was good, but nothing spectacular. They’ve got a ton of TVs, so if you like sports, you can almost guarantee at least one screen will be playing it.
I’m pretty sure they’re known for their MASSIVE drinks, and my guess is that’s the real attraction/draw here. The big one is so big that if you get it, they won’t serve you any other alcoholic drinks aside from that one. It’s like the equivalent of 4+ drinks.

We ordered a Scoop of Guacamole, Carne Asada and Shredded Beef Nachos, a Chicken Chimichanga Lunch Platter, a Tamale Lunch Combo, a Strawberry Daiquiris, and a Piña Colada. The drinks are amazing here. Definitely the primary selling point for me above other Mexican restaurants. The chimichanga is really good, but I’d get the shredded beef instead of chicken. The tamale was fantastic. The shredded beef on the nachos is great, the carne asada is okay. Overall, it’s solid Mexican food.

Carlos was a fantastic server and took great care of us. He was helpful and highly responsive. I have zero complaints about the service we received.

I love the atmosphere here. I’ve been here with a party of two up to a large group, and they do great to accommodate. It’s a nice open restaurant, and I enjoy the vibe. It gets pretty busy during dinner on the weekends, so you’ll have a wait, especially for bigger parties.

I really like El Chihuahua. I consider it high on the list of Mexican restaurants in Utah, and will continue to be a regular patron.

The gal that answered the phone to take my order was amazing. My food was delish, but sadly, the burritos weren’t smothered in cheese AND onions. Sad day. I was looking forward to my order. No onions. That makes the icing on the cake. Brings all the flavors together. Bummer. However, the gal at the front desk ROCKS. Although there were 4 other people who stared and turned away when I walked in. I’d talk to them about that. Thanks!!!

Amazing restaurant. Great food , great drink. Generous quantity. Anna the owner is the nicest person.

PARKING BEWARE-DO NOT PARK ACROSS THE STREER FROM THE RESTAURANT IN THE EMPTY PARKING LOT. It WILL COST 400 $ ESPECIALLY ON THE WEEKEND! They have spotters who just watch you park and immediately Tow your car! Park in El Chihuahua parking lot or on the street instead !!!!!

Such a yummy menu with lots of options, including a great variety of draft beers. The owners are fantastic, the staff hustles and is very accommodating. Great stop for a quick visit, or for large groups. Absolute must visit!!

Super rude workers. Food is sub par and they just increased the price of their duckies to an outrageous amount. My duckie got spilled after I had literally had 2 sips and they wouldn’t give me a refill or compensate me in any way. They didn’t understand my frustration and were rude to me when I would even just try to ask a question. I do not recommend this place to anyone that is looking for decent mexican food, or to anyone that has ever spilled anything in their life.

I paid $42 for a bean and cheese burrito because I didn’t even get to have more than a sip of my drink. They also include gratuity in your bill which I now understand why, because I would never tip them after what I experienced.

This is my all time favorite restaurant! I’ve celebrated nearly every birthday here and other major life events were capped with a trip to El Chihuahua. The Chile Verde is second to none. Get it in an enchilada or burrito combo and you can’t go wrong. My 2nd favorite dish is the Chile Relleno.

The salsa is mild that they being our initially, but if you ask, they have a hot version of salsa that will cover any heat lovers need for spicy.

Believe it or not, they have best chicken fingers and fries in the valley. Fresh cut fries are cooked to perfection every time. I was sad when my kids stopped ordering off the kids menu and I wasn’t able to steal any of the fries any more. So now we occasionally order a side of fries just to scratch that itch.

I love EL-C for their food, but their Death Stars are what brings in the crowds. You can have one or two, but that’s the state limit.

Any game day, EL-C is a great place to watch your team! They have plenty of TVs to watch the game.

El-C is a family run restaurant, and it won’t take many visits before you feel part of the family too.

Maybe I’m a one off but I personally don’t care for their food. It’s just ‘okay’. Nothing bad but also nothing great! The kids meal looked gross but my daughter didn’t say much so I don’t know. The taco salad is huge and looks yummy.
I am the type of person that comes for their drinks! The Death Star ducky’s are my favorite!
My friends/ family say they enjoy the food. The staff is always nice and friendly and the atmosphere is fun too!
