It’s an absolute gem in Brea!!
For the past six years, I have been a loyal customer and have regularly taken my wife to your restaurants for special occasions. We have visited multiple locations, including Downey, Brea, Hollywood, and Montebello, and have consistently received quality service, food, and overall experience.
Unfortunately, our visit to the Geisha location was extremely disappointing.
After driving 30 minutes specifically to experience this location, we were not informed until we were already seated that the only dining option available was a $150 per person fixed menu, excluding drinks. This information was not clearly disclosed prior to being seated. Had we been properly informed in advance, we would have reconsidered dining there.
The fixed menu was significantly below the standard of your regular menu offerings. The food quality and selection did not justify the premium price. Additionally, the two mojitos we ordered were watered down and poorly prepared.
Our total bill came to $256 for the fixed menu dinner, two drinks, one sushi roll, and $36 in gratuity. The overall experience did not reflect the value expected from your brand and fell far below the standard we have become accustomed to over the years.
This was meant to be a special Valentine’s celebration, and instead, it turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience. A total scam!
We tried several items including the sashimi, king sushi, ribeye tacos with chimichurri, and spicy noodles with shrimp. Everything was delicious!
Cocktails were all EXCEPTIONAL!! I tried the Lychee martini, pogu daiquiri, and carajillo. My husband enjoyed the Mai tai, shizo old fashioned (with grapefruit bitters and Japanese whiskey *chefs kiss*) and original old fashioned.
Amazing service by our server Diego, who was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent drink and food recommendations! Highly recommend!!
One of the best parts of the visit was taking advantage of their happy hour—they had a solid selection of food and drink options at great prices, making it an excellent value.
Our server, Jasmine, really stood out. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the evening. She also offered thoughtful recommendations, sharing her personal favorites from the menu, which added a nice personal touch to the experience.
The ambiance of Tempo is another highlight. The interior is beautifully designed, with artwork that showcases a unique blend of Japanese and Latin culture, making the space feel both vibrant and inviting.
All in all, Tempo is worth a visit—and I’d definitely go back.
Our family went all in and ordered cheeseburger fries, asada tacos, a sushi roll, plus a margarita and a lychee martini. Safe to say, everyone found something they liked.
The vibe inside is fresh and lively. Everything looks new, clean, and thoughtfully put together. The staff was super friendly and checked on us often without being overbearing.
I’d say this place works whether you’re bringing the family or just grabbing drinks at the bar. Definitely worth checking out.
