The staff was another highlight of the visit. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, polite, and genuinely seemed to enjoy their work. Our server, Cindy, deserves a special mention because she went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. She was personable, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever making us feel rushed. It’s rare to find a server who balances professionalism with such a warm, caring attitude, and Cindy did exactly that.
For my meal, I ordered the carnitas tacos, and wow—what a treat! The flavors were absolutely incredible. The meat was tender, seasoned perfectly, and paired wonderfully with the fresh toppings. You could immediately tell that the ingredients were high quality and prepared with care. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and full of flavor.
This is clearly a family-owned business that takes pride in what they do, and it shows. They’ve created a true hidden gem. I can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu!
Special mention for the chicken tamales, which are moist, flavorful, and comforting, and the pupusas, which are absolutely outstanding. This is the kind of place you come back to again and again.
Restaurant:
Maria’s Pupuseria & Taqueria
Main Question:
Is the food worth the money?
Answer: I honestly cannot answer this question at this time. I had the food delivered and I don’t feel answering this would be fair based on food received. I believe the delivery time may have impacted some of the food.
Food:
I loved the chicken burrito. I thought the tamale was great but I love corn bread and that is basically what it was in a tamale form. So to me, that was delicious. You will need something to drink and my son and I could not eat more than 1 each.
The Cuban did leave a bit to be desired. My son would give it a B instead of an A. He gave an A to the Tamale and he gave an F to the fries. However, I truly believe it was not the restaurant’s fault with the fries. They looked beautiful but were soggy.
Portions:
The portions were fantastic and about the size I would hope for at the prices that were charged. Needless to say we were very happy with the portion.
Cleanliness:
I cannot comment since this was a delivery.
Atmosphere:
I cannot comment since this was a delivery.
Recommended:
Yes, I would recommend. The food was definitely good enough for me to try the restaurant next time instead of ordering on door dash.
Prices are reasonable and service is very accommodating. We have been several times and will certainly go again.
