My family and I had breakfast at Alpine Cafe while we were in Helen. We did have to wait about 40 minutes to get a table, which was a bit long, but once we were seated, the experience was better. The omelets were really good, well prepared, and filling. The place itself is cozy and pleasant, with a nice atmosphere that fits the area. Overall, despite the wait, the food and the vibe made it a decent breakfast spot.

First time eating here at Alpine Cafe and we came for breakfast. Our wait was minimal and we got seated quickly. The food was delicious. I recommend the pancakes and the bacon is divine. Our server Michelle was friendly and very attentive. I’ll be back for sure!

My husband ordered the Colorado omelette, and unfortunately the vegetables weren’t even cooked, the home fries tasted frozen and were undercooked, and the gravy had massive lumps in it. The only positive from his plate was the bacon, which actually was good.
I ordered the white pizza (chicken, spinach, Alfredo sauce), and it was just as disappointing. The chicken tasted boiled, there were maybe four pieces of spinach on the entire pizza, and overall it was very bland with little to no flavor.
The coffee was bad, and to make matters worse, the coffee cup was filthy. The server watched us wiping it out ourselves and didn’t offer another cup until about five minutes later, when he finally brought a clean one.
I will say the server was nice and very apologetic, but after we explained our concerns, nothing else was offered. Honestly, even if it had been, we wouldn’t have ordered anything else at that point.
This visit was not what we expected, and sadly, we wouldn’t return based on this experience.

Tempest and Coby were excellent. They were working very hard and super busy, yet still maintained high levels of service and attention to our table. Tempest served us the previous night outside and surprised us with two delicious drinks. Will come back again in to town and will be looking for them here. 10/10

The home fries were crunchy and flavorful.
The coffee is extremely good as well.

WE only ate breakfast here, so I can’t review the other types of food they offer. Home fries were crunchy and flavorful, pancake was delicious, bacon cooked perfect, service was good, and they give a REALLY NICE military discount! My husband had country fried steak which he really liked and one our second trip there he really enjoyed the omelette. Thank you for the discount and good food! When in Helen, breakfast is definitely a must at Alpine Cafe!!

Cute cafe, basic breakfast options. Food was good overall. They were out of bacon so we got sausage that was unfortunately cold, but the eggs and home fries were great. Service was fine, they had a pleasant attitude, but did not anticipate our needs or check on us. If you need a quick laid back spot, this would be a good option, but I’m sure there’s better breakfast in town. ♀️

This is a good old breakfast stop. They have all of the basics at Helen pricing – don’t be surprised. We tried some berry pancakes, a kids meal, and a couple of Bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches. Everyone thought that their food tasted pretty good.

When we walked through the door there was no one waiting to seat us. We waited for about 5-10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. The waitress asked us how many we had, walked to a table and put the menus down and then walked away without acknowledging us or seating us. We sat at the table for another 15 minutes before anyone brought us water or took our order. We waited ANOTHER 45 minutes before a member of our party had to walk to the kitchen to ask a waitress about our food because no one was at the front counter to help us. Our food had been sitting there long enough to be cold and stale when we got it. It was also flavorless and tasted like it came from cans and prepackaged food. Also, the omelette that was served to me was not even fully cooked in the center. There was no acknowledgment or apology for the wait, and we were not even given utensils for our food, we had to go to the server station and grab our own because no one was there to hand it to us either. Now, we are all feeling sick and running to the bathroom. I would recommend getting breakfast anywhere else!

We waited 30 minutes for a table and when we were seated, we were told the restaurant was out of bacon, home fries, country fried steak, cheddar cheese, and blueberry bagels… it doesn’t sound like a lot, but it left most of our party disappointed. Food came out so staggered that some people had finished eating by the time all of the food was on table.
On the bright side, the coffee bar was wonderful and the barista was extremely friendly. One of the loveliest parts of our trip.
