So my first experience with Freddys was back in 1991 when the first moved Bridgeport back then It was a good place! Now I literally called them to place my order for pick up. I was on hold for 37 minutes. Mine knew they hung up on me twice. So it was actually a lot longer than 37 minutes. Drove to Freddys expecting to be super packed to my surprise. There was two people in line and one person sitting down eating. The person in charge name was Joe. I ordered my food. Got it cook and left. And I was still on hold for the phone for my phone order. We have four guys standing around. Just talking doing absolutely nothing. Whether the owners Freddys is, they can reach out, and I will gladly send them pictures! I won’t be coming back to Freddys anytime soon! And on top of all that I had to return my food because mind you I’m parked in front about to eat my food and my chicken sandwich was made the wrong way even after I repeated myself to the young lady three times and the pizza was left on top of the counter for the 30 minutes that I waited for my chicken sandwich to be done so you’re pretty much imagine how that turned out so I returned my food. I guess I’m going home to kick my own chicken sandwich.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I grew up eating at Freddy’s, and unfortunately the quality has gone downhill significantly over the years. When mistakes happen, the staff does little to nothing to resolve the issue.
My coworker and I placed a delivery order at 12:20 PM with an estimated arrival time of 45 minutes to an hour. The order didn’t arrive until 2:00 PM, and when it finally did, the food was cold and the crust tasted like cardboard. We’ve given this location multiple chances, but this experience confirmed that it will be our last time ordering from them.

Honestly, I couldnt speak highly enough of this spot. I went once and had to go back because I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I got the chicken parm sandwich and its easily the best chicken parm sammie I’ve ever eaten. I got fries too and theyre good, Id guess they cut them in house (that’s my guess, they don’t advertise it). They also make ITALIAN ICE!! Which is out of this world. Fast casual style place not far from Sox park, plenty of seating. Right off the intersection

Visited today for lunch with some girlfriend. This location was recommended by another friend. The Italian beef sandwich was so good. I had the combo beef and sausage. There was so much meat that it was falling out the sandwich when biting into the sandwich. I also ordered the fried Mac n cheese. That tasted like box Mac n cheese that was then fried. It was just ok to me. The location is kind of small but the tables and chairs were clean. I will definitely come back when in town.

I drove all the way from Michigan to go to fabulous Freddy’s on 31st and it was worth every single mile. I ordered Italian beef . Best in the area (200 mile)and Italian meatball that was awesome.

The Italian Ice was absolutely delicious. Being able to pick multiple flavors within one cup allows you much more freedom with what flavors you are feeling like that day. The pineapple Italian ice was sweet with noticable bits of fruit within the ice, which is replicated with all the other flavors. Mango has small bits of fruit, and Raspberry has its seeds in the ice, adding another layer of freshness and texture. While we did not purchase anything savory, if you want something from here, grabbing a cup or two will make your taste buds thank you!

It’s a very nice restaurant, in the Edgewater area, that offered great service and a wonderful presentation of food.
The deep-fried items were a bit oily (mushrooms and spring rolls), and the dishes that were stir-fried had a bit too much soy sauce in their preparation (Kung Pao Ding).
Possibly requesting the wrapped, non-fried spring roll and less soy sauce in the Kung Pao Ding would make these dishes more favorable to the pallet.
All in all, it was a good experience and good food, that can be great, with a little tweaking.

Love Freddie’s! Never had anything from this restaurant that I did not like. Customer Service is also great! I ordered a Chicken Cesar Chicken Wrap and a Small Strawberry/Watermelon Italian Ice. The wrap was very flavorful. The chicken was juicy and not dried out. The lettuce was crisp and just the right amount of Cesar dressing. The Italian ice was good as always.

I was introduced to this place by a friend who lives nearby. They highly recommend the Italian ice. It really was exceptional. The mango, lemon, and strawberry are all really good, with real fruit flavor, not artificial flavored, the ice is so fine like sherbet. I also love the bread stick. It was surprisingly good with marinara sauce. My friend told me that they have always been looking to go there because the chef like to tweak things, so you’ll always have good surprises even with the same order, like cheese pizza. I would definitely go back again.
