The shrimp was over cooked. Our waitress brought me a new basket of shrimp. We were seated near the fire place that was burning brightly on a cold Sunday afternoon …. Nice dinning experience.

Most everyone knows cracker barrel for their comfort meals and country store. If you’re traveling and you see a Cracker barrel sign you pretty much know what you’re going to get. In recent years I have noticed that the food has went down to a more average level. The service has suffered due to poor staffing, and the availability of items on the menu seem to be more difficult to get. Communication between management and staff should include availability of food at the time of ordering. For what it’s worth , we recently took a couple out for lunch and there was some disappointment in the food we wanted to order and the undercooked carrots that accompanied our orders. The staff assured us that she would mention it to the cook. The food we were looking forward to was the Southern fried chicken. Informed after ordering that the kitchen had none available. Anyway, I put our meals here in pictures if you care to see. Turkey dinner and Meatloaf dinner.

For some reason they weren’t letting people sit by the fireplace but when my friend asked again, to please let us sit there, the hostess agreed. It was so cozy and warm. It was extremely cold outside. Our waiter was absolutely wonderful. He was very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and attentive.

Looks like they don’t care about your health! Burnt bits included no worries @ The one and only Cracker Barrel 395 Cumberland Parkway Mechanicsburg Pa ! Was craving for some regular pancakes after a long drive on the road I had regular pancakes and was up for a big surprise big chunks of burnt bits from a non cleaning griddle on my pancakes from this place totally unacceptable! At first thought it was a mix up with my order possibly chocolate bit but after inspecting it clearly it was burnt bits, after eating reg pancakes inside also placed an order for the family to go and all came out the same had to discard it spoke to management and he said he was sorry he was going to speak to the cook …. Resolve this before health department shuts you down this is a serious matter !

As always the food was really good BUT the quantity is less every time we visit. Service was not as good as usual, but that was the young lady who “served” us.

Wonderful family Fitness. The server was spot on. We had a person with a black pepper allergy and the manager was very attentive and made sure no pepper was used in the food preparation. I had the roast beef. Very tender and not dry. The mashed potatos and gravy were hot and well seasoned. Recommend you give them a try.

Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. I had the pancake tacos and my wife had buffalo chicken mac n cheese.
Both were good.
Our server was excellent.
Wait time for our food was a bit long but not too bad.
Price was quite reasonable. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Overall good experience.

Not our favorite cracker barrel , but it wasn’t too bad.

We stopped in around 7:30 pm on a saturday night(they close at 9). The place was mostly empty, which was surprising. Got a table right away though.

Food took a while for all basic already heated stuff. We ordered a country side plate and pot roast. That stuff is all on the warmers already and just needs scooped onto a plate……All the sides were cold. (Mac n cheese and green beans in particular). On top of that the portion sizes seem to be coming down. The country side plate was very skimpy.

Really upset they got rid of the roast beef from the menu. That was the only thing I liked, besides pork chop Saturdays ( which is now Tuesdays) the roast beef is gone from all cracker barrel locations, not just this one. Can’t blame this location for the roast beef catastrophe, but i still feel obliged to bring it up, in case the person reading this is hoping for that delicious roast beef tonight.

Took our daughter out for her third birthday here. Started out good. Food was okay, Mac and cheese was warm at best not hot.

Waitress observed two of the three of us be out of drinks and instead of offering to fill cups she placed the receipt on the table. Did not offer to bring a box. We sat for over 25 minutes with empty drinks and no boxes. I had to go to the front desk to request a box. In the meantime a cover for the baseboard heater fell onto my daughter’s foot. The staff advised it was a known issue. Manager came out and looked at it and said oh well this happens and proceeded to ask my 3 year old child what she wanted to make it up. Of course my 3 year old had no answer. He then walked away without a single offer to comp anything due to the issues. Manager did not even attempt to fix issues and by admitting it was a known problem in fact made it worse. Will not return to this location without formal apology.

Photos of baseboard heater on the ground after striking my daughter’s foot.
