Our meats are prepared over an open oak-wood fire. The wood infuses our food with a mouthwatering subtle smoke that enhances the flavor of everything from our steaks and salmon to our ribs and chicken. Cooking over an open oak-wood fire is not only a unique art but the most primitive and challenging approach to grilling, nevertheless the finest. Welcome!

I tend to to see negative reviews but I absolutely love it here. Best French onion soup, ribs, prime rib, and so much more! I love sitting at the bar and always have good waitresses/bartenders.

Steak taste better than the chain restaurants. Service is great. We had the New York strip… so savory… not sure if this is a 1 stop store… but the food is excellent… recommend it highly. You will NOT ask “Where’s the BEEF”!

We returned 1/23/26
3 steaks later they were unable to serve us a New York Strip steak that was not FULL of gristle or 1/2 the steak being just nasty fat.
SAD but true… they were apologetic but that didn’t fill our bellies!! AND we loved this place and recommended the place to so many other people… SO SAD… Bradley the server felt awful…

Nice atmosphere & the staff is very charismatic but that’s about it. Our server tried very hard & I believe normally does well. I think it’s one of those moments where you screw up & it throws you off your game…? All in all she didn’t really do too bad.

The main thing is it’s a steak restaurant and everyone’s steak was super gristly. We’re country food so it’s not like we’re expecting high falutin food. It wasn’t marbled fat, however, but marbled gristle. They were cooked to order but extremely difficult to cut and chew. I’m not sure where they are getting their beef, but it’s not a very good source. All the other food was good. Soups, salads, appetizers, ribs … all good. But 5 steaks at the table were tough.

Dined in for a meal the other night & cannot stop thinking about how absolutely disgusting the food was.
We began with the “triple appetizer”, where we selected potato skins, BBQ wings, and pork egg rolls. Every single item was worse than the last! The potato skins were completely dry and flavorless…as if they had been cooked hours prior and reheated without mercy. The BBQ wings were slimy and totally undercooked and the sauce seemed to have come from a discount bottle I had minor hope for the egg rolls…which felt, looked, & tasted like straight up vomit. At this point, I was unsure if I could physically continue. However, I decided to proceed with optimism. I believed that a STEAKHOUSE could get ONE thing right…unfortunately I was sadly mistaken. I ordered a New York strip. It was utterly atrocious. The mere sight of this steak made me ill…but I STILL kept an open mind. Once I cut into the steak and took my first bite, I was borderline gagging. No juices, no tenderness, and absolutely no flavor whatsoever. The outside of this steak was barely seared, and the inside was gray. This was a steak that was doomed from start to finish. I have never in my life taken one bite out of a steak and returned the rest…I refused to even take it home as it was completely past the point of saving. All of the food was genuinely unpleasant and sickening to eat. Don’t get me wrong, going out to eat at a new restaurant is a hit or miss but THIS was a consistently awful experience. The service was mediocre…and when I voiced that my food was barely edible…the server replied with a sad face and rushed to bring me my bill. No questions, no apologies, no offer of any fixes. Nothing but a pouted lip and a slip of paper indicating the damage of a terrible meal. I did not leave disappointed, I left disgusted. If you’re in search of a steakhouse, keep on pushing because this place is unforgettable for ALL of the wrong reasons.

Joined a group of 14 friends here for a Christmas get together. This was our first time dining here. Would like to say the servers were fantastic. The atmosphere was good. Unfortunately, the food was not so great. Our table ordered several different appetizers. The shrimp was decent. The loaded tater tots were horrible…barely cooked and definitely not loaded. I didn’t try the egg rolls with shredded pork because they did not look appealing at all. Several members in our group got the French Onion soup…only one person said it was good.
Now to the main courses…two of us had to send back our steaks. Couple others weren’t happy but just dealt with it. Ordered my $30 filet medium and received well done with lots of gristle…should never happen with a filet. My husband ordered the same exact and his was perfect.
My second steak was literally raw in the middle…just horrible. Our friend had to send hers back as well and didn’t even eat the second one. We were looking forward to this special night with long time friends and it was a definite disappointment. I felt bad for the friend who hosted and paid the entire tab.
Upon reading other reviews I agree that this place is hit or miss. Unfortunately I doubt we’ll ever go by ourselves as we live 45 minutes away. Nonetheless we had a fun evening.
Our server was wonderful.

Met my cousin, his wife, and his mother in an Airbnb in Hudson, visiting from SC. Short drive from there to restaurant. It was an early dinner, about 4:30, so not too busy. We were seated right, brought menus and waters. My wife and his mother ordered French Onion soup. Two of us had salads coming. My cousin ordered Saddled Skins (5) as a meal. His mother ordered the Loaded Texas Tots and wife chose the Steak Fajita Tuesday special. My wife decided on the Prime French Dip sandwich. I went for the 1/2 pound Prime Rib medium rare.

The French soup came and salads came. Both women loved the soups and enjoyed a bit also. Salads were fresh, crisp, and delicious. Shortly after two steak meals arrived, after all it is a steak house, along with the sandwich and two appetizer/dinners.

My wife really enjoyed her sandwich. The tots and skins were also enjoyed. The fajitas were excellent and my prime was perfect. It was great food but after the soups and salads about half of each meal went takeout.

Great food, wonderful service, and an atmosphere that is enjoyable and quiet enough to converse. Check it out!

Very disappointed. We have been to Sioux City many times and it was always great. Went today at 2:30 they were not busy so we were pleased being it was Valentines we thought we might have to wait. We got right in and were seated but then the wait began. Finally we left after 15 minutes without even so much as a glass of water. It was like we were on an island but we’re on the wrong side. We will try and go back but it won’t be for awhile. Too bad I was looking forward to those fall off the bone ribs

Glad we didn’t let negative reviews stop us from giving Sioux City a try. Our server was great and had a wonderful sense of humor and our food was delicious. Started with a full basket of rolls complimented by both cinnamon butter as well as regular butter then on to our entrees. My ribeye was cooked perfectly and was more than I could eat. My 94 year old mother’s fish and chips was the lunch portion and was still more than she could eat and finally my husband’s filet was so tender no knife was needed. Side dishes ranged from macaroni and cheese to coleslaw and baked potatoes. All noteworthy. My husband finished off with a slice of chocolate silk pie which he said was better than Village Inn pie.

So I don’t write reviews often but I have to write this one to get the word out there about this restaurant. We came in a group of five people and it seemed to overwhelm them. Our server was completely clueless about the menu couldn’t even tell us what dressings they had available. We had to wait for almost 30 minutes just for drinks. Fast forward to the food arriving, All of our food either cold or burnt, no in between!! Absolutely the worst experience I’ve had at a restaurant!! Bottom line is that the food and service are below standard with prices that are way to high…..go to IHOP you’ll get better food and service there….shame
